As we head towards the end of another month, it’s time for another Likes and Loves. I can’t believe July is almost out! Time is just flying by.
With that said, Likes and Loves is basically a mix of all the things we have liked, tried and loved from the previous month. It’s a nice way to appreciate and discover new things!
Here’s what I’ve been enjoying in July…

Country Walks

We go on walks daily so it’s always nice to discover accessories to take along with us. This cool water bottle from 1000 Mile is not only super practical with its easy-to-hold design and handy spout, but it’s also eco-friendly, made from recycled materials. It’s perfect for keeping you refreshed while you’re hitting the trails. Plus, it feels great to know you’re doing a little something good for the planet while you get out and about.
I also have some super comfy walking socks and a handy waist pack to hold my phone.

Orchard Toys Games

We love Orchard Toys and we have been lucky to partner up with them again to try out their new range. You can check out a couple on our latest Orchard Toys review. My youngest loves them!

Charlotte Tilbury foundation

I’m in my early 40s and I don’t think I’ve ever been over the moon with my foundations. They either feel too caked on or too oily and rub off!
I’ve recently treated myself to some Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter foundation and I love it!
It’s just the right coverage for everyday wear and sits well on their primer base. Winning at life with this one!

Fearne And Rosie Jam

We all love jam in our house and we’ve been very kindly sent a range of jams from Fearne and Rosie.
These jams are not only bursting with fruity goodness but are also made with 40% less sugar, vegan friendly, no nasties and made in the UK. From spreading it on our morning toast to adding a dollop to yogurt, the kids can’t get enough of their strawberry jam, while I really like blackcurrant.
Plus, it feels good supporting a brand that’s all about family and making healthier choices. If you haven’t tried Fearne and Rosie Jams yet, you’re missing out on a seriously tasty treat!

Slimming World Group

After trying many fad diets and my weight yo-yoing up and down over the past year, I’ve joined a Slimming World group. I have made some lovely friends who I catch up with each week. They are such a lovely bunch of ladies.
I’m almost at my 2 stone award, but having a holiday has balls’d that up somewhat! So, I’m using my certificates as motivation to get back on track.

Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports

This game has been an absolute hit in our house. Based on the Disney Junior series, it features all our favourite dino friends in a colourful, action-packed sports game. The kids are absolutely obsessed with it, and I have to admit, I’ve found myself getting pretty into it too!

What I love most about Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports by Outright Games is how each level is different. My two like competing in events like racing, basketball, and even surfing! Each sport is set in beautifully designed prehistoric landscapes, making every game session feel like a new adventure. The controls are simple enough for younger kids to pick up quickly, but there’s enough challenge to keep older kids engaged too. You can choose the difficulty level, which is perfect for families to play together.

Another fantastic feature is the multiplayer mode. We’ve spent countless afternoons playing together as a family.
Available on PS5, PS4, Switch, Steam, XBOXOne and XBOX Series X|S.

Nirvana Brewery No and Low Alcohol Drinks

Nirvana Brewery is an independent, family-run brewery based in Leyton, East London and their low/no alcohol drinks taste sooooo good!

Nirvana Cloudy Lemon Lager 0.2% ABV – It’s no wonder this 500ml beauty is award-winning. Each sip is a crisp and refreshing burst of citrus, balanced with a subtle maltiness that makes it super smooth and perfect for summer days in the garden.
Whether you’re hanging out with friends, enjoying a BBQ, or just relaxing solo, the Cloudy Lemon Lager is your go-to for a light, refreshing drink that doesn’t compromise on flavour.

Nirvana Hefeweizen 0.3% ABV – This beer is bursting with flavour, giving you all the classic Hefeweizen goodness without the alcohol. It’s got that signature cloudy pour and a taste that’s a delightful mix of banana and clove, with just a hint of spice. It’s smooth, refreshing and great to stock up for friends and family get togethers.

Chocolate Fruit

Tru Fru specialises in enveloping fresh fruit in sustainable chocolate and either freeze-drying or freezing for you to enjoy at home. We tried the hyper-chilled pineapple covered in white chocolate and coconut. Then the strawberries in white and milk chocolate or white and dark chocolate. You simply pop them in the freezer and take out what you need so there is no waste, defrost at room temperature for 15 minutes and enjoy. They also make fruit wrapped in Greek yogurt and granola.

Beach days

Things have been very hectic here the past few months, what with my eldest being poorly with his Chrohn’s and there’s work and uni. We’ve had some lovely short holidays and plenty of beach time. I’m looking forward to more over the summer holidays too!

The walks sound lovely and the water bottle looks fab.
I feel the same about foundation, my skin has changed over the last few years. I think I am going to have to invest in something a bit fancy.

  3. A nice collection of likes and loves this month. I like the water bottle, walking socks, and bag for your hikes. They must make your hikes so much more enjoyable. #MMBC

  4. Those jams look delicious! I have been missing our daily walks but it has been so hot and muggy here that even trying to get out early in the morning hasn’t been working. I do like to keep a refillable water bottle with me when we walk though; or at least in the car so I can quench my thirst the whole way home. That beach photo is lovely!

  5. Congratulations on your slimming success. The support of others is definitely key, but so is your determination. I’m sure you’ll be back on your track soon. I like water bottles with a handle. Easy to walk/run with. I’ll have to take a look at the foundation. Slightly older than you and given up on finding one I like.

  6. Oh wow those chocolate fruit look so good! I have loved beach days too. July/August was amazing for beach days this year and I loved every second of them. I also loved coastal walks. I dont walk well in the country with my silly chronic hayfever but coastal walks are amazing and in the winter too. They are good for the soul.
