Hi, my name is Jayne and I am a 21 43 years young wife and mum.
I am married to Craig – my partner in crime. We live in a canal-side cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside in Staffordshire, along with our two boys –  Jayden (13) and Joben (8). We live life to the max since Craig received his heart transplant back in 2014. Having been through such a tough journey together has only made us stronger and more determined to grab life by the short and curlies.

You never know what’s around the corner so embrace every day.

We home-school our children and I often share our personal home-schooling journey, tips, tricks and home ed resources. We follow a fairly structured learning routine and work alongside the national curriculum. With that said, we do like an outdoors approach so this sees us visiting museums, historical locations and National Trust sites which play a big part in our boys’ education.

We love cooking at home and involve the children as much as possible. We have even partnered up with lovely brands to bring tasty recipes to the table. Danone, HelloFresh and Barleycup just to name a few!
I also create weekly meal plans which saves me time as a busy working mum and keeps food waste to a minimum.

Our youngest boy is beautifully autistic.  This was confirmed at his Autism Assessment back in 2020. This is a journey we are continuously learning from and we share the ups and downs along the way.

I have been blogging for over 10 years now and absolutely love it. Blogging, together with my freelance copywriting work is pretty much a full-time job for me now. Oh, and I am currently studying at uni for a Master’s degree in Creative writing, as if things aren’t busy enough hey!

We also have a super-loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Bruce and a rottie puppy called Barney.

Bruce is our rescue dog. He’s 11 years old but young at heart.

He loves his kong toys, doggy peanut butter on his lickimat and lots of cuddles. We all love him so much, but his farts smell!

Barney…well where do I start?
Barney is the total opposite to Bruce. He’s bouncy, he’s naughty, he’s goofy! And he’s currently going to puppy training classes to help tame his rebel side haha.
Here is the culprit!
