Well, that’s August come and gone. The months are just flying by don’t you think? As we head into September it can only mean one thing, it’s time to share our likes and loves for the past month. Even though it only seems like yesterday that we were sharing our Likes and Loves in July! Just crazy.

*Comfy Clothing

As summer comes to an end and autumn is just around the corner, I have been busy sorting out my wardrobe. Autumn for me is all about jeans, leggings and cosy jumpers. I have a pair of leggings from Love Leggings and I just know they are going to be super warm and cosy come the colder months. You really can feel the high quality of the material. They are thick unlike some leggings that become see-through when you pop them on! They are so soft to the touch and come in lots of different colours. I chose the Infinity Blue Classic Leggings and I love them!
Whether you are after some yoga pants, sporty leggings, cropped or maternity, they have a little something for everyone.

*Weather And Days Of The Week

Although we have stopped homeschooling and have broken up for our summer holidays, children are always learning. This Peppa Pig Activity Calendar is great for introducing the seasons, weather, months and days of the week. It has lots of little activities such as picking the current season card from the pocket, moving the little magnet on the different temperatures, a little whiteboard to practice writing the days of the week and much more.
Joben is really enjoying using his calendar and it’s such a fun way to learn!

*Movie Nights

We do love a family movie night and we’ve had quite a few just recently. I always put some snacky food on so we can all enjoy some munchies as we watch our movie.  Our new favourite movie night food is Chicago Town Stuffed Crust pizza! Oh, my days these taste so good!

*A Deep Clean

Regular readers may have seen that we recently worked with Beldray and hosted a giveaway for their Quick Vac Lite range. They have just sent me a Cordless Scrubber Pro to see what I thought and being a lover of cleaning (Iknow I’m strange) I think it is amazing! It cleans and polishes pretty much everything! It has made cleaning the grout on my kitchen tiles and bathroom a breeze, charges in only 5 – 6 hours and lasts for nearly an hour. It cleans, polishes and scrubs, is lightweight and even comes with a handle to save you stretching.
You can change the angle of the handle to get in those hard to reach places and you can choose from the different interchangeable brushes according to which job you need to tackle.
At only £25 this is a total steal!

Playing Outside

We love the outdoors. This hot weather has been lovely and we have made the most of every opportunity at getting outside and playing. Joben loves the trampoline, in fact, he would happily spend his whole day bouncing if we let him. We have also had the pool and water tables out whenever we have had the chance. Jayden loves Nerf guns and we are always having Nerf wars or water fights with his super soakers! I think I’m going to get myself a Nerf Rebelle Crossbow to really look the part, hehe!

*New Skincare

I must admit I have never really been consistent with a skincare routine. It’s only that I’m pushing for 40 that I really need to make more of an effort to rejuvenate my skin! I have recently been introduced to Skin Doctors. They offer topical alternatives to surgery. I have been trying some of their products over the past few weeks and my skin does feel in slightly better condition after using the age-defying power oil and Collagen boosting ampoules.
Starting at £34.99 it can seem a little expensive, but I suppose you get what you pay for, a good quality treatment that does what it says on the box.
I will pop an update on here after a few more weeks have passed because let’s face it, this cream has its work cut out for sure!

A Canalside Walk

We are really lucky to have lots of canals near to where we live and we love to take advantage of walking along the towpaths. The scenery is always spectacular and there really is a hidden world waiting to be discovered. We regularly spot many different kinds of wildlife and fish bubbling just below the surface of the canal. A great way to end a warm summers day.

*Planning

I am addicted to all things stationery.  Danilo has introduced some mid-year diaries that are perfect for students and anyone who loves to be organised! I have got the Disney Mickey Mouse themed one here, but they also do an awesome Harry Potter styled one which my lovely friend Kim reviewed on Life As Kim. The quality is awesome and at only £9.99 they make a perfect gift.

*Sweet Treats

Craig loves all things Jelly Belly! The flavours are amazing and not at all like the awful jelly beans of our childhood. They have introduced their new Donut Shoppe range, which are jelly beans that taste like doughnuts. Strange but utterly amazing. There is a cute little storage tin shaped like a doughnut that keeps them fresh. You can expect flavours such as Strawberry Iced, Apple Filled, Blueberry Cake, Glazed and my very favourite Chocolate Glazed.
I’m going to get some more of these to put up for stocking fillers.

  1. Ooh the donut Jelly Belly flavours sound amazing! I’m also tempted to get one of the scrubbers – I always struggle to give the grouting a proper deep clean so this looks great! It sounds like you’ve had a great, fun-filled month x

  2. Those leggings sound so good. I am all about leggings and cosy jumpers when it’s chilly.
My girls both had calendars like that when they were little and it really helped them learn the days of the week.
I was laughing about stuffed crust pizza today. My dad was telling me all about them, how they are new, he’s just discovered them. lol
The view along the canal is beautiful!
