We love being part of the Asmodee Blogger Board Game Club because we discover loads of fun family games. Last week we were having fun playing BrainBox Dinosaurs memory game and this week we are sharing the Pictionary meets Chinese whispers game, Telestrations.
Telestrations Age 12+ Years
The aim of the game is to simply laugh lots and have fun with the family!
What you get –
- 142 playing cards
- 8 erasable sketch books
- 8 dry-erase markers
- 8 clean up cloths
- 60-second timer
- Die
Telestrations is like a cross between Pictionary and Chinese whispers. It is a great way to spend time with family and have a good laugh!
Telestrations is designed for 4 or more players so sadly until the current circumstances change, we won’t be able to play this one. This will be perfect for when we have friends and family around but for now, I shall give you a general review of what to expect for your money.
How To Play
One player rolls the die to start the round. Match the number on the die to the word on your card and secretly write it in your book. Always making sure that nobody else sees it.
Now turn to the Sketch it page, flip the timer and secretly draw your word. You have 60 seconds to do so. When you are done turn to page 2 to hide your sketch and pass the open book to the player on the left.
At this stage everyone is on the guess page. Flip back to look at the previously drawn sketch and write down what you see on the ‘Guess It’ page. Flip forward again and pass the book to the player on the left.
Flip the timer and everyone can continue to sketch, pass and guess until each player gets their own book back. All books should end with a guess.
Then the fun bit comes where you all flick through your books and reveal the sketching and guessing!

We played this with friends on holiday last year and it’s a hilarious game! I definitely want to buy it for our family.
