Rory’s Story Cubes Game Review

We are really happy to have recently been invited to be part of Asmodee’s blogger board game club. As you know we love playing all sorts of family games so we were really excited to be on board. We will be sharing plenty of fun games for all of the family to enjoy, and we are kicking it off with Rory’s Story Cubes.
 

Rory’s Story Cubes Age 6+

The beauty of this game is there aren’t lots of rules as to how you play. You simply roll the 9 dice and tell a story using the pictures that are face up. You use three dice for the beginning of the story, three dice for the middle and the last three for the ending.

There are no limits to the length and time of your story, simply make up a fantastic tale to share with everyone playing. You could even share the story so one player starts off, then the next player carries on with their little contribution. You can get some really funny stories this way, as we did! Even my husband and I found ourselves playing it when the kids were in bed.

Rory’s Story Cubes are a fab way to inspire kids to be creative. The game helps improve vocabulary and most of all it’s fun! I think this game would be great to take along on trips and holidays as it comes in a handy magnetic carry box that you can pop in your bag. It would also be ideal to occupy little ones in situations where they might get bored easily, such as waiting for meals in restaurants or on plane journeys.

This will definitely be coming along with us on our travels. I can see this being a firm favourite for some time to come.
