I can’t believe we are at the end of January already! It doesn’t seem five minutes since I was doing my last Likes and Loves post!
We’ve had a nice month considering January can sometimes feel a bit of a slog after Christmas. Here are our Likes And Loves for this month.
*Fun And Fruity Snacks
I have always enjoyed Del Monte fruit juice so when I recently discovered that you can now get these Del Monte Squeezies I couldn’t wait to show my boys! Each pack counts as a portion of fruit so you can be assured that kids are getting their quota of 5 a day. Apple and Mango is a firm favourite of ours!
Outdoor Adventures
We love living in the country and love nothing more than getting outdoors. That’s one of the many reasons why we love home schooling, it gives us the freedom to get out whenever we wish. The weather hasn’t been the best but that doesn’t matter. We just wrap up in extra layers and off we trot!
*Funky Hairstyles
Jayden loves having his hair styled and I do Joben’s too if we go out. However, I don’t like using harsh chemicals on their hair, that’s why I was really excited to try the Locks In Goodness range! Not only are the designs cute but they contain no nasties!
The tubes are 100% recyclable and even the postal packaging can be recycled! It doesn’t get more environmentally friendly than that.
Baking Together
I have always loved baking with my boys but when we bake sweet treats the boys are always keen to get involved! We made some apple crumble cookies and they were so yummy!
*A Sweeter Smelling Ride!
Craig always likes to have an air freshener in his work truck, but sometimes I find the fragrance fades too quickly. He’s tried all sorts over the years but has just discovered Lynx car air fresheners. They last for around 30 days and come in a variety of fragrances and styles to suit everyone. I think Africa is one of the better fragrances so think this one will be quite popular. Now tell me you haven’t got Toto – Africa running through your head! Hehe.

Making A Start In The Garden
With recently moving into our new home we have so many exciting projects to be getting on with, one being the garden. It is such a shame as this garden has never really been maintained so we are starting from scratch. We have spent the past two weekends having a clear up and are almost ready for a skip. Next up is laying some turf!
*New Wax Melts
Anyone that comes around our house knows that I love my candles and wax melts. I have quite the collection! I have recently been introduced to Sassy Shop Wax who kindly sent me two of their popular fragrances – Snow pixie and Blueberry & Vanilla. I’ve only got to try Snow Pixie so far and it smells amazing!
The only thing I don’t necessarily feel comfortable with is they look like a chocolate bar, so you would need to make sure these are well out of reach if you have little ones (common sense really).
Online Gaming
Not for everyone I know but Craig and I love playing on the PS4. We play some games together, have a laugh and I think Craig is generally impressed that I always get the best score! Hehe.

I have only got into using wax melts over the last few months and I am obsessed! I love the sound of the Blueberry & Vanilla one. It is a bit unnerving how these sort of things do look like chocolate bars. x
