We are well into July now, so that means it’s time to share our Likes and Loves in June.
I like documenting the little things we’ve enjoyed over the previous month. It’s a nice way to appreciate the little things and discover new things to enjoy!
So without further ado, here is what we liked and loved in June.
Maybelline Perfector 4-In-1
This is totally new to me and I love it already. I always use a primer and anti-redness concealer under my foundation, so when I saw that the Maybelline Perfector was a primer, concealer and pore corrector all in one, I really wanted to try it out.
I am very impressed with the base cover that this achieves. It’s great if you have uneven skin, enlarged pores or blemishes. This kind of smooths it all out for a flawless look. I’m sporting a 42-year-old face so I need all of the help I can get!
I use shade 01 Light and it is a perfect match. Love it!

*Garden Lights
We have been spending more time outside enjoying the lovely weather we have been having here in the UK. I love sitting out on warm sunny evenings. These fab festoon bulb string lights from Avoalre are perfect for later on in the evening once the sun goes down.
Now we have a super cosy nook, ideal for alfresco dining and catching up with friends and family.
They are mains powered and are 10 metres long. The lights have a nice warm white glow and make any area look super-cosy and welcoming.
As you can see, I have used ours on the gazebo roof and this is just one section. They are a fantastic way to transform any space in your garden, both big and small.
These are *available from Amazon AND Avoalre is giving my readers a 10% discount. Just use the following code – AW55DNCP at checkout to redeem!

Canal Walks
I love our walks alongside the canal. It’s nice either early morning when everyone is still in bed, or later on in the evening when the towpaths are no longer busy.
It’s so peaceful!

*Bathroom Caddy
I am always happy to add more storage for our toiletries and bathroom essentials. These practical bathroom caddies from ilikable are robust, spacious and need no drilling whatsoever.
The super-strong suction cups hold the caddy in the desired place. I was really impressed with the weight capacity in which this caddy can support. Apparently up to 21lbs!
They are brilliant for holding all of your shower gels, shampoo bars, scrubbing brushes and razors. They are easy to wipe clean and keep everything clean, tidy and in one place.
ilikable is kindly giving my readers a 10% discount by using this code at checkout – BTF7SE6W. Available from Amazon.

*Oaka Books
We are always on the lookout for fun new resources that we can incorporate into our homeschooling sessions. We have recently discovered Oaka books which are curriculum-based topic packs that are designed for SEN and dyslexic pupils.
The packs are available in KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4/GCSE and cost just £7.99 per pack.
We absolutely love Oaka books. They break down learning into colourful and interesting bite-size chunks.
There are so many fantastic learning packs to choose from irrespective of reading ability.
They get a huge thumbs up from us!

Retro mug!
Hands up who remembers Pigeon Street! I LOVE my retro mugs and have quite a collection. One of my faves until now was Fraggle Rock, but I really like this new addition to my collection that I bought from Truffle Shuffle.
I think I’m going to get Rainbow Brite and Trapdoor next and then I think I need a bigger kitchen to house them all!

Colour in the garden
I love all of the pretty colours in the garden come summer. My dahlias are a lovely show again and the nicotiana and asters are huge. We’re seeing lots of busy bees which is nice.

Father’s Day
We always go big for Father’s Day in our house. The kids love to put balloons and decorations up and my youngest loves to help daddy open all of his presents! We just love a party full stop, haha.
Craig had a lovely day so that’s all that matters.

What have you been enjoying lately?
Your June loves and likes is so festive with flowers and personal with your makeup. You have been busy as usual and covered a variety of items. I like your new lights on the gazebo – a place in the garden in the evening is a perfect summer addition. #MMBC
The Maybelline Perfector sounds fantastic and I love the look of your garden. The lights are so pretty.
As I write this Stu is doing some work in the bathroom, fitting a new sink so I will be looking to spruce it up a bit. Those bathroom caddy’s sound fab.
Oh wow! Pigeon Street is a blast from the past. We’re showing our age now. lol I love that mug. x
I love the look of the bathroom caddies as it adds extra storage to the bathroom
Ooooo, thanks for recommending the Maybelline Perfector 4-In-1. I think that is exactly what I need to cover up my blemishes and pigmentation. I love the look of your garden too. We only have a balcony so we can’t get much to fill it in. Our fruit trees are already taking up the majority of the space but luckily downstairs someone has thrown some wild flowers seeds across the green verge which gives our street a bit of colour. It’s lovely to see all the flowers in full blossom
Love my little garden nook too – beautiful month for you
Your garden looks lovely. I’m also really enjoying my garden this month! All my sweet peas, sunflowers, zinnias and echinacea are finally out, and we’re harvesting so much from our allotment now. It’s great to see our hard work paying off ☺️
Im always looking for new products for my 40 year old face haha and the fact this is a a primer, concealer and pore corrector is perfect. I do love surrounding the garden with solar lights, looks amazing at night.
Lovely little floral area, love the bright colours!
I love a good walk too, the canal looks lovely! There isn’t much water by us, just a lot of greenery, so this would be a real treat.
This has reminded me that I’d love some garden lighting for the evenings, it will makes it very cosy with a blanket (maybe not in the current weather though!)
Thanks for sharing.
We are very lucky to live by the Thames and I also love my morning walks before it gets too busy. During autumn you can see the sun rise and the reflection on the water gives such a calming effect.
Garden lighting can be really effective
We live in the midlands so have lots of canals to walk along. I agree that they are very peaceful to walk along and you meet so many interesting people on they’re narrow boats. I wish I could afford one. I’d love to be able to saunter along at a leisurely pace in my later years
been enjoying the garden I am growing a sun flower they grow fast so keep my grandchildren interested
I bought the bathroom caddy, the suction power is amazing
Your garden looks lovely and colourful ♥
I have blemishes so think the Maybelline Perfector 4 in 1 could be one for me to try.
love plenty lights in the garden
Love the garden lights
Love the lights!
Love the solar lights in my garden, just makes the mood perfect in the evening when it’s starting to get dark
The lights are amazing!
The garden lights look lovely, I’ve been looking for some for my garden
All very interesting summery reading x
I have been loving my garden – its been a bit of a struggle in the heatwave to keep everything watered and healthy. I have been quite selective with watering – as in I have been quite brutal in choosing the plants I absolutely can’t lose (roses, lemon tree, grape vine, wisteria) and giving them an extra water and only being quite sparing with the annuals.
The lights look fab and love the retro mug!
I love the garden lights!
I’m a rainbow Brite mad collector. So love the mugs and clothing at truffle shuffle. My daughter’s middle names are actually Rainbow and Brite. 🤣
Love these lights, makes the garden look fantastic.
The bathroom caddies look great and would stop those grubby circle marks on the edge of the shower tray; do you find they stay on with the suction. I’ve previously had metal ones which soon go rusty so these look a much better option. Thank you 🙂
I absolutely love sitting in my garden by myself when the kids are in bed and just enjoy the beautiful garden lights around my cherry tree
