Happy April Fools’ Day. We’re at the end of March people! Oh my days, where did that month go? That means it’s time for another Likes and Loves, a round-up of all the things we have liked and loved from the previous month.
It’s a lovely way to appreciate the little things and to discover new brands and products to try too!
Without further ado, here are our likes and loves for March.

*Books

*No Longer Last On The List by Jo Bevilacqua is a self-growth guide for tired, busy women. Helping you to eliminate doubt, set boundaries and prioritise your own importance, without guilt.
It is a lovely book full of barrier-breaking activities, inspirational quotes and advice to encourage and empower busy mums to put themselves first instead of taking a back seat, as we often do!

Mother’s Day

I had another lovely Mother’s Day even though we ladies missed an hour with the clock going forward! What kind of sick joke was that?!
The boys got me some beautiful pressies including flowers, a charm for my Pandora bracelet and a really funny but rather dodgy plushie with my face on it! Haha. Joben calls it mini mummy and carries it everywhere! It even has to come in the car with us.
I hope you all had a fab Mother’s Day and for those who don’t have their mum around, I hope the day treated you as kind as can be.

*Sustainable Tupperware

The Hip with purpose range is designed with everyday items in mind that are made from sustainable materials and ocean-bound plastics.
The *set of 3 nesting bowls are durable, leak proof, microwave and dishwasher safe. They are ideal for meal prepping, food storage or for taking along on travels.
The fab *lunch pod has two compartments, the top holds 500ml and the bottom 600ml.
You can use it with the just the one compartment or two for keeping different dishes separate. They are both equally handy and I love that Hip are a responsible brand that looks after the planet.

*Reusable Period Towels

I have shared many times on the blog that I have made the transition of moving from disposable sanitary products to reusable products.
One of my favourite brands that I use is Trade To Aid pads. Their sustainable towels are made from high-quality super-soft bamboo charcoal and recycled plastic.
The reusable sanitary packs include –

  • Two light flow pads
  • Two medium flow pads
  • Two heavy flow pads
  • One waterproof wet bag
Reusable period towels with a grey fleece lining and with a multicoloured geo pattern.

*Gaming

Being a family of gamers, I like to share what we’ve been playing lately. The kids have been having loads of fun playing *Ryan’s Rescue Squad on the Nintendo Switch.
Ryan’s Rescue Squad from Outright Games puts you on a mission to rescue Ryan’s friends who have been captured and transported across different worlds by the evil Dark Titan and his wicked allies.
Choose from the awesome characters who you want to play as – Be Ryan, Combo Panda, Alpha Lexa, or Gus the Gummy Gator and explore four slime-filled worlds.
Eat Moe’s pizza to gain special powers, unlock and buy new costumes, play mini-games and meet hilarious characters along the way.
The controls are simple to navigate and the mission is super fun for all ages.
Any Ryan’s World fan will absolutely love this game!
Available on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, XBox One, XBox Series X|S, PC and Stadia.

*Home Fragrances

Living with four of the male species it’s safe to say that there are some funky smells in our house from time to time. Whether that be wet paws from a muddy canal towpath, smelly socks, sneaky farts or a stinky toilet!
Poo Pourri helps to eliminate all of those nasty odours from the home. They have some great products including their popular toilet sprays, shoe odour eliminators and sanitiser wipes. With so many lovely fragrances to choose from, your home doesn’t have to stink like a cesspit any longer!

Safari Park

We are no stranger to West Midland’s Safari Park, we’ve been so many times I’ve lost count! We visited again just a couple of weeks ago and we had such a fab day out. We had plenty of giggles feeding the animals and the kids enjoyed exploring the park. It’s always a fun day out there if you are looking for somewhere to go with the family.

Spring Flowers

I love spring! And my favourite part of all is the spring blooms. Tulips, daffodils and bluebells never fail to cheer up a space and they are very much welcomed after the dull tones of winter.

I love that book by Jo Bevilacqua. It has been a great help to me.
hahaha! It was a sick joke with the clocks changing on Mother’s day. That photo of you did make me chuckle, the plushie is hilarious.
I use those Trade to Aid pads and love them. I feel like I’m doing my bit for the planet and they’re so comfy. x

  2. Oooo. I’ve been buying bamboo plates to do my part in helping the environment but you can’t use them in the microwave. Will look into these Hipp ones.

  3. I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I’m so tickled by your “mini Mom” doll. To quote Austin Powers, you have a Mini Me! Wishing you a great spring week (I hope) #MMBC

  4. The Safari Park looks a lot of fun, although maybe a bit scary if they come up to the car like that! ♥

  5. That stuffie with your face on it is hilarious! We have never been to a drive through animal park but I have always thought they looked rather neat… just maybe with a rental car and not mine.

  6. I love the sound of that book by Jo Bevilacqua, i’ve put it in my amazon basket. I was looking through it and i’m not very good at doing activities involving searching deep inside.

  7. Seems like you had a busy but fun filled March :). Mother’s Day sure didn’t feel like Mother’s Day with the clocks changing. The kids definitely did not want to go to bed an hour early and that was hard to deal with. But saying that I am happy the days are longer and the world is green again.

  8. Home fragrance is such a blessing!
The book looks really good. I read an article many years ago entitled ‘Why Do Women Always Take the Burnt Chop?’ and wondered what it was about. Same thing as No Longer Last on the List, really. All women – especially mums – should read it.

  9. Some really nice loves for you this month. I haven’t been to the Safari Park for so long, I guess I should put it on my to do list for this summer, and I should definitely remove myself from the bottom of my ‘to do’ list. I love Poo Pourri, I don’t normally ‘go’ while out, but when you are in hospital all day, sometimes it’s inevitable so I always carry a little bottle in my pocket. Everyone on the ward knows who went last, but mine must be the sweetest 😉 I love the Hip containers too, I really need to check them out. x

  10. The Lunchpod and stackable bowls are great! Nice review on the lunchpod as I’m looking at something to keep my food hot for work.

  11. I love the nesting bowls, I’ve just moved house and I threw out my old microwave bowl as it was broken so I’ve been looking for some new ones

  12. Spring flowers are definitely at the top of my list. I just absolutely love daffodils. We’ve had a lovely Easter and school break so we’ve been enjoying lots of quality family time together.

  13. Love your plushie and the tupperware, spring is my favourite season, seeing nature waking from its winter slumber never ceases to amaze me

  14. This year is flying by isn’t it! I really liked reading this post! I loved reading about the Sustainable Tupperware so will definitely be investing in that!
