The weeks really do seem to be slipping by quickly, and here we are heading into another month already. So now it’s time for another Likes and Loves, where we share some of the little highlights, new finds and things we’ve been enjoying lately.
Airbrush Plush Hair’iffic Salon Set
If you’ve got a child who loves both arts and crafts and a bit of pretend play, the Airbrush Plush Hair’iffic Salon from Canal Toys is a nice mix of the two.
Inside the box you get a large plush with long hair, a salon base that doubles as a little wash station, a battery-powered airbrush, six colour pens, loads of stencils, and a bundle of clips and beads. The idea is simple, kids can design and colour the plush’s hair using the pens and stencils, then wash it out and start all over again.

I have to say, as a parent, toys that involve an airbrush with pens give me slight anxiety. The thought of our whole house getting decorated, tends to put me off. With that said, the chalk pens are quite faint and wash off, so there’s no random graffiti wrecking your living room walls with this!
The Airbrush Plush Hair’iffic Salon is a lovely playset that will provide hours of fun and is perfect for Christmas gifting.
Pambros
We were recently introduced to Pambros and having two dogs of our own, I really like their ethos. Pambros is an UK-based pet care brand specialising in natural, high-quality supplements designed to support pet health and wellbeing.
What Makes Pambros Stand Out?
Thoughtful, vet-backed formulas: Pambros focuses on clean ingredient blends such as probiotics, turmeric and colostrum. All of which are selected for real benefits like calmer behaviour, healthier digestion, shinier coats or joint support. And according to Pambros, no fillers or artificial additives ever make the cut.
Unique offerings—like goat milk powder: A UK-first, their zero-lactose goat milk powder is crafted for both dogs and cats. It’s easier to digest and apparently a hit even with picky eaters.
More than supplements—dog gear included: Pambros doesn’t stop at vitamins and chews. They also offer sensible design items like harnesses and eco-friendly scented poop bags.

A Short Break
We spent a few days in North Wales. We do love it there and it isn’t a mega-long drive, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
We spent lots of time on the beach and the kids rinsed us in the arcades, as they do. It was nice to switch off from the daily grind and relax a little.
Now to look forward to our autumn break.

Craig’s Birthday
We had such a fun time celebrating Craig’s birthday! The day was full of laughter, good food and of course, loads of treats just for him. He cracked open a beer (well deserved!) and spent a good chunk of the evening at his PC, racing around tracks and getting stuck into several of his brand-new games. It was great to see him properly switch off and enjoy himself. Simple celebrations, but full of the things he loves most.

Our Mini Yoto
We’ve recently added a Yoto Mini to our home, and it’s been such a lovely little addition. Compact and portable, it’s perfect for popping in a bag for car journeys or keeping by the kids’ beds for a calmer wind-down at the end of the day. It’s been perfect for using in the garden, where the kids can listen to music or even podcasts while they play.
We’ve also got the original Yoto Player that you can read all about here. The larger one stays put at home, while the Mini gives us the flexibility to bring that same magic along wherever we go.

BABY born My Cat Cookie Interactive Pet Kitten
One toy that’s been making an appearance in our play lately is the Baby Born My Cat Cookie Interactive Kitten from Zapf Creation. It’s a soft plush cat with a gentle interactive twist. Stroke her head, paws or back and she purrs and gently vibrates. It’s a simple feature, but surprisingly effective at making Cookie feel a little more lifelike.

The set also comes with a little bed and a collar, so there’s everything your child needs to start playing right away. It doesn’t overcomplicate things, there’s no fiddly extras, just a soft toy that encourages nurturing play and a bit of comfort at the same time.
You could also pair this up with the Baby Born My Dog Lucky for even more interactive fun.

Cookie needs 4 × AAA batteries, so it’s worth having some ready to go.
Grandad’s Birthday
The 8th of August was my Grandad’s birthday. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. He would have absolutely adored my boys. I love that they like to come with me to take Nan and Grandad flowers.

You can catch up with last month’s Likes and Loves here.
How was your August?
My youngest would have loved that Salon set a few years ago.
It sounds like a lovely break away! That beach is stunning!
I am glad Craig had a good birthday! Sending love and hugs. It is rotten not having our Grandparents. x
The beach looks beautiful and so nice and quiet!
I’m glad Craig had a good birthday celebration – and now he can enjoy his new games. A purring cat doll sounds interesting, but I think many little girls would love the beauty salon. I agree the idea of encouraging kids to play with colors sounds scary. #MMBC
Absolutely love the look of the Airbrush Plush Hair’iffic Salon Set – my daughter would love something like that!
Almost a year ago – here’s to more memories this year
