I love using my slow cooker and even more so in the winter months. December is a busy month for us and it is so convenient to pop the ingredients into the pot and let it do its thing whilst I get on with my day. We can all then welcome a nice warming meal at tea time. I remember when I first got my slow cooker and was amazed at the variety of meals and recipes that are available. I love to be able to involve my two boys when I am cooking as well, I think it helps teach them about nutrition and obviously gives them some great life skills.

We all love this Fakeaway slow cooker doner kebab in our house. It tastes just like the real thing but a much healthier option! 
Wendy from Daisies & Pie made one of my favourite meals – slow cooker bolognese. This is ideal for a midweek meal and can be served with some side veg or garlic bread.
Kim from Life As Kim made this hearty sausage and baked bean slow cooker casserole. I love warming meals like this on a chilly day. Kim served this with cheese topped buns and garlic and coriander naan bread.
Carol from Comfort Spring shared this slow cooker curry chicken with turmeric rice. A delicious low-cost dish with more than enough to go around for everyone.
We came back from one of our walks down the canal the other day and got absolutely soaked from the rain! I was so glad that I prepped this slow cooker beef stew and mustard mash first thing. It was a perfect winter warmer after a cold and wet day and both of my boys love this!

I used a slow cooker while we were skiing and it was brilliant! Meals are so easy to make and the house smells so delicious when you come home. Thank you for sharing these recipes. The sausage and baked bean recipe looks really good. I made a beef and red wine stew and a lentil soup – they were both delicious :o)
