I absolutely love London. It is such a diverse place with so much to see and do, that I could never grow tired of visiting. But how do you cram everything into one weekend when staying in London? Well you probably won’t is the honest answer, but a little planning beforehand will ensure you make the most of your time there.
Choose Accommodation That Is Central
You don’t want to choose a property just because it’s the cheapest one in the search results, because chances are it will be further away from the city. Do your research thoroughly. Think about the activities you want to do, the places you want to see. Treat yourself to a luxury family apartment that is central to all amenities, such as Hyde Park, the perfect place for a family picnic. Do some serious shopping on Oxford Street or Bond Street, or eat in at some of the best restaurants in Marylebone. All can be easily accessible if you choose the best-situated accommodation.
Plan Your Itinerary
Again do your research prior to arriving. Perhaps use google maps to pin the locations you want to go to. You can then easily plan a route from one to the other keeping them all in close proximity. Taxi fares can be so expensive in London if you heavily rely on them, so planning ahead will save you money and as a result, give you more to spend on your break!
Attractions
There are so many family-friendly attractions in London. You can take a look online to save money on current deals. I know that for instance if you purchase one of the London Eye packages you can gain access and save money to extra attractions such as Shrek’s Adventure, the London Dungeons and more fun places to visit. There are also river cruises and ample site seeing tours to join in with so definitely worth booking up before you get there.

I found that the underground is faster, but my kids love the bus as they can sit on the top deck and see everything
I haven’t visited London for ages, but I love that there are many free places to visit as well
