We absolutely love London. I mean, how could you not? There is so much to see and do. It’s quite an adventure for the kiddies too. Travelling from our little house in the fields to enjoy the fun of what London attractions bring. We plan on going back to visit this year and have a little list of places to go. So without any further ado……
Our Top 5 Places To Visit in London
Shrek’s Adventure
We loved our day out at Shrek’s Adventure. We visited here on a press trip and we had the best time. It is such a fun interactive tour, it really is magical for kids. Even the adults were encouraged to get involved and we did much to the kids’ delight. You fly away on a 4D bus and go on a fun story-led adventure. Although cameras are not permitted, you do get opportunities on the tour to get snaps with Shrek himself. We were lucky to meet Poppy the troll as well.

The London Dungeons
It’s been some time since I last went here, but it was absolutely brilliant. You go back in time back to the murky past of the capital. Some of the most notoriously feared personalities such as Jack The Ripper and Henry the VII are brought back to life for you to enjoy (or maybe not). See how scary torture proceeds were taken out in the terror-some torture chamber. It’s not only fun but a good way to learn about history. They do recommend children being 12+ only due to the dark atmosphere and loud noises inside. It could be quite scary for younger ones.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour -Harry Potter
My eldest is Harry Potter obsessed so this is one of our must-see places this year. I know he’s going to love stepping into some of the iconic sets from the Harry Potter films, such as the great hall, the forbidden and forest and his favourite, platform 9 3/4. I am looking forward to having a walk down Diagon alley and seeing how the special effects were made.
Natural History Museum
Another of our to-dos! Such a fascinating place that I have always wanted to visit. I know the kids will just love seeing all of the dinosaur structures, they will probably be able to share a few facts of their own! They are dinosaur mad! I have heard so many say what an enjoyable visit they have had here, so will certainly be checking this out.
Madame Tussauds
I love Madame Tussauds. Last time I went it was pre-kids so it will be nice to take them along this time. I know my eldest will be wanting to pose with all of the stars!

Thank you for reviewing these. We’re heading to London next weekend and are wondering about what to do.
For me, not trip to London in complete without visiting Camden Market. Love it there x
what wonderful memories some of these bring back. I’m looking forward to the time ‘after – lock down’ when we can revisit some of our favourites.
And for those who are on a budget. Don’t forget all the free stuff like:
Sky Garden (you can see the whole of London up there. Just book your tickets in advance)
You can a lovely walk from Chinatown to Trafalgar Square to the Horse Parade and finishing at the front of Buckingham Palace. If you can still walk more, why not wander into St James Park as well
Visit Greenwich to see the Cutty Sark and enter the National Maritime museum to learn more about it’s history for free
And let’s not forget all the wonderful parks like Hyde Park, Holland Park, Victoria Park, Regent’s Park and Richmond Park if you want to do some deer spotting
Haven’t made it down to London for quite a while as the train fare is so expensive. There are some excellent attractions
