You are planning your next trip and always wanted to visit London. There’s just a small tiny obstacle affecting your planning. You wish to take the kids with you. Worry not, because London has a ton of amazing attractions and venues to visit that do not only welcome children but enhance their experience.
1. HMS Belfast
Anchored in the Thames is the HMS Belfast, a ship that participated in the Second World War and today is a ship-museum. Maybe it is not the most appropriate place if you go with very young children, as there are many stairs and very narrow areas, but it is perfect for children a little older, especially if they like boats because it is impressive. I have to say that the HMS Belfast is one of the attractions that we visited one day almost by chance after having lived in London for several years, it is still one of the most impressive and liked visits, so I highly recommend it.
2. Visit the Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the most important attractions of the British capital, a place you should visit when travelling to London and it is one of the sites that I also recommend to visit with children. Tell them stories and let their imagination go wild when they see the collection of royal armours, talk to them about the bloody tower, the jewels of the Queen and do not forget to mention the legend of the crows of the Tower.
3. Crazy Golf with Plonk! Golf
Have you or your children ever played mini golf? Regardless of whether you’re a fan or not, the venues of Plonk! Golf is the perfect amount of amusement and entertainment for a family, and the courses feature crazy adventures your kids will love. Make sure that you invested for a golf stand bag for much better play. If you’re interested visit plonkgolf.co.uk.
4. Go to the theatre
Make one of the evenings unforgettable by taking them to one of the best musicals in London. Many of the famous musicals of London are ideal to go with children, and I would personally recommend the musical of The Lion King, Matilda or Wicked. They are perfect to enjoy as a family. I can assure you that adults will also exit with their jaws dropped.
5. Go up the London Eye
With 135 meters of height, the London Ferris Wheel is another of the most famous attractions in London that you will surely want to climb as soon as you see it. Tell them that it is the biggest Ferris wheel they are going to ride in their lives and enjoy together the impressive views it offers over the British capital. There are usually long queues, so I recommend buying the tickets in advance since you will save some time and money since tickets are cheaper if you buy them online.
