What is it with washing baskets? It turns into some kind of celebratory event when we can actually see the bottom of one doesn’t it?! With my brood, that is quite a rarity. My washing machine is constantly battling our laundry pile, spin after spin, day after day. Coming to think of it, our clothes take a serious bashing. From washing, tumble drying, ironing and everyday wear and tear, I apply a few tips and tricks to help keep my laundry in tip-top condition. So if like me, you are drowning in a sea of smelly socks and spaghetti bolognese stained baby clothes, then you may find some of these tips super useful!
Tips And Tricks To Conquer That Laundry Pile
Sort it out!
Putting your laundry into three separate baskets, whites, colours and darks will save heaps of time when you come to wash it all.
Technicoloured Dream Coat
Want to keep your colours vibrant And remove those pesky stubborn marks at the same time? Add Ace Colours to your wash. This is the ninja of all stain removers, yet gentle enough to use on fabrics as delicate as silk and cashmere.
Great Balls Of Foil
Put a scrunched up ball of foil into your dryer to eliminate static. A simple trick but so effective.
Bag It Up
Use laundry bags to protect delicates such as expensive bras. You could even use them for socks. It saves so much time having to pair socks up afterwards.
All White Now
Keep your whites gleaming with a capful of Ace For Whites. I use it from time to time and it really brightens dull clothes in no time.
Throwing In The Towel
Towels have the most wear of all and can soon become rough and abrasive after drying. To keep your towels soft and fluffy, swap fabric conditioner for a cupful of white vinegar.

In a rush and need your favourite top drying fast? Put it in the dryer with a clean, dry towel. The moisture will be absorbed by the towel and half the drying time.
Down & Dirty

I literally celebrated finding the bottom of my washing basket today, then I stripped the beds & it was full again!?
