There are many ways you can enhance the look and feel of your garden. Here are just a few simple garden improvement ideas that can be achieved.

Water Features

For one, you may wish to have water features added. One of the most popular water fixtures are stone fountains. Other types include water blades, spherical water features, pots & troughs and creatively designed installations such as of fairies, flowers or animals. Besides acting as a beautiful addition to your garden, water features are a good way to appeal to birds.

On the same subject, you may also wish to welcome birds to your garden by fitting a bird feeder. The types available include suet, nut & nibble, window, ground and seed feeders. While you may want to purchase a bird feeder pre-made, you can also put one together DIY with nothing more than a plastic bottle, piece of orange skin or just a small tea cup.

Maintaining The Fence

What about the perimeter of your garden? Give your walls a fresh coat of paint. Get a lovely shade of fence paint to freshen up your fencing. Choose a colour that complements the natural palette of your garden, taking into consideration any surrounding flora and fauna.

Potted Plants

When it comes to flowers and potted plants, there are plenty of ways you can go about adding them to your garden. For instance, you could create several flower beds. Ideally, the plants that are tallest should be present in the back row with average-sized flowers in the middle row and the smallest ones at the front.

You could also have different plant plots added throughout a garden. Regardless of which approach you take, the colour of the plants you choose should work well alongside the colour palette in the area surrounding them.

Add A Seating Area

As for garden benches, there are many styles and materials to choose from. For design options, there are practical straight garden benches, lutyen benches, backless benches, weaved benches and curved benches among others.

How about a patio area? This is an area often occupied as a recreation or dining garden space. The patio interior is made of concrete hence it is a particularly strong and long-lasting surface. Composite decking is also a durable option if you want something more contemporary.
Maybe browse online for a hammock store and finish off your seating area with a cosy hammock for summertime reading.

Make sure to take a look around your garden and consider what can be replaced as opposed to what should be upgraded. Is the shed on its way out? Should the grass be replaced with an artificial surface? Answering these types of questions and taking into consideration the suggestions offered in this article will help you give your garden a brand new lease of life!

We need to do something with our fence but the concrete posts are not evenly spread so getting panals to fit is going to be expensive. That’s a job for the landlord. lol x
