I must admit, I’m not really what you would know to be girly. I’m the sort of woman that prefers playing Call of duty on the PS4 with the hubby, rather than watch chick flicks. I’d sooner have half a lager than cocktails or prosesco. Although I do enjoying drinking most of that! But I think you get what I mean.
Getting my nails done is another luxury for me. I rarely bother with having my nails done professionally. I do paint my nails now and again, but 9/10 they end up chipped within the first hour, as I’m either gardening or cleaning, picking up toys or scraping food sources off the windows, you know, the daily run of the mill stuff.
So when I received some lovely Jamberry Nail wraps to try out, I didn’t actually know what to think. Like when you see those perfect photos of people applying them with ease and the results look stunning. And then you have a bash and the reality of it is far from what you pictured in your head! Well I was pleasantly surprised.
What You Get In The Basic Bundle
Buffer block
Nail scissors and clippers
Nail file
Cuticle pusher and orange sticks
How To Apply
Whilst handling the wraps, try not to touch the adhesive with your hands as it can leave an oily residue and weaken the adhesive.
1 Prep and clean your nails
2 Select nail wrap size
3 Heat adhesive side of wrap ( I used my hairdryer)
4 Apply wrap with pressure
5 File away excess
6 Apply heat once more and tidy up any uneven parts.

Are they easy to apply?
Definitely. I thought they would be really finicky to put on, but I did one hand in 15 minutes. They are quite thick too, so they don’t tear like some of the cheaper ranges available.

I didn’t do too bad considering it was a first application. Overall I am impressed with the results. Although I do feel £15 seems a little expensive, they are good quality and I can imagine they will remain in tact for some time. They are perfect for a little pick me up treat and lets face it, us mums deserve one every now and then!

£15 does sound a lot but you get two applications from each strip as you cut them in half, so four in total, plus if you use them as feature nails and paint some of the others you get a lot more 🙂
Your nails look amazing for a first try! I’m much like you and hardly ever paint my nails but these could be great for those special occasions!

I have heard of Jamberry before and love the designs. I would love to try them but I am a prolific nail biter!
How awseome are these nail wraps, lus great for protecting your own nails and great as they wont have that strng varnish smell
These look excellent. I used to love having perfectly polished nails but since becoming a mum I think I’ve only painted them twice in almost 7 years! 🙁
