To bring back the 1980’s would be awesome wouldn’t it? If you were an 80’s child that is. The days spent trying to figure out the rubik’s cube. Swapping garbage pail kids stickers with your friends, how gross were those?! Playing with your speak and spell, as that was the closest thing we had to Siri back then!
We are looking into moving in the foreseeable future, so I’m already planning the decor of the rooms. Ideally I would like to inject a little retro into one of my themes. So here is my ……
Modern Retro 1980’s Inspired Living Room Wish-List

1 Retro Phone in swedish green I remember having one of these when we were kids, only ours was a red one. Don’t you just love the old turn of the dial action? Imagine calling a mobile number, it would take ages to put the number in. Luckily this one has push buttons!
2 Nextime Flipped Clock This screams out 1980’s. I just love the colour too.
3 Cactus Vase This is just awesome. I’m not really a cactus lover but this did win me over. So much infact I’ve gone and got myself one for my desk.
4 2 Seater Tubby Sofa Also available as a 3 seater, this shape and colour fits in with my retro theme perfectly.
5 Shunan Side Table I love the design of the stand on this table, isn’t it funky?!
6 Multicoloured Checked Blanket I always love a throw over the back of the sofa. Ideal for snuggling under whilst watching my favourite boxset. Loving how colourful this is.
7 Orionis Arched Floor Lamp I think this adds a nice quirky edge to the room and it’s bright pink! What’s not to love?

8 Retro Music Cassette Mix Tape Cushion This is one of my favourite picks. I remember listening to my cassette tapes. Who would have thought years on, we would be listening to all our tracks on a mp3 player?
9 Lixhult Storage Combination Love love love this. It’s also available in different colours and combinations. Basic yet effective.
10 Oval Links Retro Cushion You can never have too many cushions.
11 Retro Art Posters A cheap way to funk up your walls.
Do you like retro decor with a twist? Does anything on here take your fancy?
Like me? Then why not pin for later?

hehehe! We had one of those phones too….I would love one now but I think the kids would be so confused by it.
I love that cassette tape cushion. x
Haha! Yes I think even my 6 year old would think it’s weird too! The cushion is awesome isn’t it?! x
Our dial phone was beige. We thought we were the bees-knees when we got a more modern phone. I love that retro cushion (#10). It’s fab! I could see that in our new place!
I love the pattern on that cushion. It seems that most folk had one of those phones at some point. Funny how things change with time 🙂
Love EVERYTHING! I am a sucker for a bit of retro and I just adore that it is coming back into fashion.
Me too! I can’t wait to get started on my retro theme 🙂
The 80s are back! I’m never quite sure how to work this trend in the house but there are some fab ideas here.
I love the retro cushions, so cute. And yes you can never have too many cushions.
I love that throw – nothing like adding a splash of colour to brighten up a room x
Some great choices here for a retro home, loving the blanket a nice pop of colour never goes amiss
I can’t say I am a big fan of the retro range! although saying that I do like a little retro look in the kitchen!
I’m loving the retro pastels they are big this summer!
Gorgeous retro decor, would definitely like it for my living room! 🙂
Despite the amount of times that we ridicule 80’s fashion and style , there are many features that I like as evidenced through this 1980’s decor. That dial up phone is cute x
Ahh my husband would LOVE these! The storage unit and sofa in particular – this is a collection to bookmark!
I was an 80’s child. Love the phone and the wall prints x
That cassette cushion is awesome! I feel like I might need one – and I’m definitely buying one for a friend’s birthday. Thanks for sharing 🙂 #MMBC
I love the retro telephone and the floor lamp! The telephone is such a classic one but with a twist on the color. Nice!!!
Hmmmmmm we made some dodgy choices in the 80’s, not sure I want to go back LOL
Long live the 80s! But not the mustard/green, happy with anything but that 🙂
Oh- I want that sofa! I see this is an old post, but it’s still available. If I only lived in the UK.
Grew up in the 80s – love the vibe – love all your choices
