Meal Planning Ideas Week 37

A chicken korma curry with rice and cheesy topped naan bread on a floral patterned plate.

Time for another week of meal planning yummy dinners. I don’t know about you, but our slow cooker is getting more use lately. The darker and slightly colder nights are making me turn more to stews and roasts.
With that said we’ve been mixing things up a little recently. We are trying out the meal subscription Gousto boxes and we are loving them so far.

Here is what our meal plan looks like this week.

Monday – (Gousto Box Recipe)

Sticky honey mustard posh dogs and chips with a carrot and apple coleslaw. These taste so good. Sausages are used rather than hot dogs and oh my days, the sticky honey mustard coating tastes amazing!
The coleslaw is really simple too but it goes so well with the rest of the meal.

Tuesday – (Gousto Box Recipe)

Greek Lamb Pastitsio Bake With Salad. We’ve not tried this one before so really looking forward to it!

Fancy giving Gousto a try? I have a fantastic discount code for you to apply to your first order. Simply use My Gousto Link to receive 60% off your first box + 30% off all of your boxes in the first month! And you can cancel at any time.

Wednesday – (Gousto BoxRecipe)

Chicken Tikka Naan With Indian Salad And Minty Yoghurt.

Thursday – (Gousto Box Recipe)

One-Pot Baked Beef Stroganoff Tortiglioni. We all love pasta in our house so this will go down a treat. I will most probably have to pick the mushrooms out for the eldest! Things we do.

Friday –

Falafels in wraps. Our menu this week is a little meat-heavy so this is going to count as our meat-free meal for the week. Also really quick to make and convenient for the end of the week.

Saturday –

We will most probably have a takeaway for a treat. I’m thinking perhaps a Wimpy for a change. We have one that is not too far to drive to, but they are on the expensive side, so we only have them now and again.

Sunday –

Beef And Garlic Mushroom En Croute with mash and onion gravy. This is a really hearty dinner and it tastes so good! I will be doing the kids a little Sunday roast each as they are not too keen on this meal.

What is Gousto?

Gousto is a food subscription service where you can have tasty ingredients delivered straight to your door.
As a family of four, I love the convenience of having all of my ingredients to hand for the week ahead. We have been trying out the family box for 4, but there are other choices available.
I will be doing a whole post about Gousto in the upcoming weeks if you fancy reading that before you try it.

  1. My slow cooker is getting used more too. It is perfect for this time of year but it always makes me hungry when I smell food cooking all day.
I love the sound of the Gousto Box meals especially the posh hot dogs. x

  2. I’ve been debating about checking out some meal boxes! I like the idea of not having to always come up with the meal planning ideas myself.

  3. These meals all sound really tasty – especially the Beef Stroganoff Tortiglioni (I have to pick out mushrooms too!). My meal planning is so lacking in inspiration at the moment, I would love all the ingredients for a meal delivered to me in a box :o)

  4. Ooh this all sounds yummy. We’ve not tried Gousto although used to get a Hello Fresh box occasionally. I still use some of the recipes from that. We’ve been using the slow cooker more lately as well and had slow-cooked beef stroganoff yesterday which was amazing. Haven’t had a Wimpy in years! #MMBC
