Autumn wreath crochet

September has been a bittersweet month for us, as we sadly had to say goodbye to our beautiful Bruce. Losing a much-loved pet leaves such a big space in our hearts, and it’s been an emotional time for me and my family. That said, I’ve always found comfort in noticing the small joys, and putting together my “Likes and Loves” is a lovely reminder that even in the sadder seasons, there are still little sparks of happiness to be grateful for.
So here is my Likes and Loves September!

Milkshakes

Tom Parker Creamery has the best flavoured milks! They are such a big hit in our house, the kids (and me!) can’t get enough of them. I love that there are no artificial sweeteners or hidden nasties, just proper flavour from real fruit or raw cacao. Because they’re made with whole milk, they’re naturally rich in calcium, protein and all the good stuff we need. And the best bit? They come in lovely glass bottles that not only go straight in the recycling, but also make them feel that little bit more fancy.

We tried the following –

Strawberries & Cream Flavoured MilkAvailable at Waitrose, Ocado, and Milk & More

Banana Fudge Flavoured MilkAvailable at Waitrose, Ocado and Milk & More

Chocolate Flavoured MilkAvailable at Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado and Milk & More
Available in 250ml and 500ml bottles.

They are a massive hit with us, and they taste soooooooo good! I will be buying more as they will be perfect for our movie nights with the kids.

Vamoosh

With having pets, there’s just no escaping rogue fur. My poor appliances work overtime, so I’ve been loving Vamoosh’s Tropical Paradise Washing Machine Cleaner.

Vamoosh range

The washing machine cleaner actually dissolves pet hair (no more soggy clumps lurking in the seal!) and leaves everything smelling fresh instead of that dreaded “wet dog” aroma.  Tropical Paradise is a summer-inspired fragrance with notes of red fruits, lily of the valley, white flowers, amber, and sandalwood. It smells so lush!
And the Dishwasher Cleaner Powder is just as handy, blasting away grease and grime while keeping nasty whiffs at bay.
This cleaner is super handy for us, because sometimes when the kids help out and load the dishwasher, they don’t always rinse off all of the left over waste.
Anything that makes tackling the endless fur and family dishes easier definitely earns a spot on my Likes & Loves list!

Exclusively available at B&M and online now!

Blue September Skies

I love a blue sky, it lifts your mood, doesn’t it?! We’ve had some lovely sunny days this month in between the showers.

Bratz®: Rhythm & Style

We are a family of gamers in our house. There is almost always someone playing on a PC, the PS5 or one of the handheld consoles.
Recently, we were kindly gifted a copy of Bratz®: Rhythm & Style by Outright Games and it’s such a a fun game.
You can step into the shoes of Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha, or Jade and join them on a global fashion adventure that takes you everywhere from their hometown of Stilesville to buzzing cities like London and Tokyo. When visiting locations, you will need to mingle with the locals to find out the latest trends.

A Splash of colour in the garden

Our garden is always full of colour. I can’t take credit for all of it as we only moved in 5 months ago. But it’s the gift that keeps on giving. There are so many plants and I’ve never seen so many varieties of roses. We also have an abundance of berries, which make the garden feel especially autumnal.

Autumnal Crochet

I’ve been enjoying my crocheting again. It has been a nice distraction after losing our Bruce. I’ve been making some autumn wreaths for friends and family.

New Curtains

Our new crushed velvet curtains have made such a difference at home. They add a cosy, stylish feel to the room and are so practical too. I got them from Terrys Fabrics, and they’re my furnishing go-to when I want something that looks great without spending a fortune.

Stationery

We have added to our stationery supply, what with the new term well and truly underway. I have stocked up on notebooks and more pens. Of course STABILO is always included in our stash.
The STABILO Cappi pens are such a clever little find for younger kids. Not only do they have a handy cap ring that keeps all the lids together (so no more hunting for missing ones!), but the ergonomic grip makes them really comfy for little hands to hold. I also love that they won’t roll off the table with their tubular shape.
The STABILO Flow is fab for writing, with its smooth nib and comfy grip that make handwriting feel effortless and neat. It’s perfect for jotting down notes or practising lovely fancy lettering.

Footsie range

I’m always on my feet, whether it be chasing my youngest, countless errands or just life in general! So I do like to treat my feet to a little extra TLC. Footsie Heel Yeah! Cracked Heel Balm and Footsie Dive In Fizzy Foot Soaks are the perfect way to do just that.
After a long day, it’s nice to use the Sole Soother fizzy soakers, then follow up with the lush heel balm, rich in cocoa butter and urea, to repair and hydrate. These two together feel like a mini self-care ritual for my tired tootsies. They’re just perfect for someone who’s always on the go.
