Well hello October! You didn’t waste any time coming around.
September was quite a busy but pleasant month, which means it must be time to round up our likes and loves. Here are just some of our favourite highlights and some of our top likes and loves for September.

*New haircare products

I’ve also been using some hair products from The Hair Boss. The detangling mist is really good. It is a lightweight leave-in mist that conditions and detangles your hair. I straighten my hair almost daily so dry locks and split ends are a given. This hair mist smells absolutely amazing and leaves my hair feeling fresh and soft after application.
The shampoo and conditioner are also fantastic. If they can tame my frizzy mane then they are good for any hairtype!

During the lockdowns, like other families, we were always coming up with new ways to keep the kids entertained at home.
One thing the kids missed was being able to have a takeaway treat such as a KFC. I improvised and used some takeaway cartons from Amazon and cooked some air fryer chicken popcorn and burgers, fries and corn on the cob.

The boys loved it and now call our home takeaways MFC – Mummy’s Fried Chicken! Haha.

*Nuture

I recently discovered a new skincare range called Nuture.

Nuture is a specially formulated blend of plant-based Omega-rich oils designed to treat blemish scars, stretch marks and dry skin.
I’ve been trying out the facial treatment serum for the past two weeks and although I can’t see earth-shattering results, my skin is definitely feeling more hydrated than it was. I will stick with it for a little longer for a fuller effect.
You can expect to pay £15.99 for a 30ml bottle and a little goes a very long way!
Nuture is also good for improving the appearance of scars and stretch marks. I have stretch marks, but I am totally comfortable with mine. I think they tell a story and are something you shouldn’t feel embarrassed by.

With that said, I can totally understand if others feel a little self-conscious, so treatments like these are always worth a try, especially if it helps boost your confidence.

*Gaming

We are big fans of Outright Games and they have just launched a brand new platform game, just in time for Halloween!
The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem is a brilliant 3D platform adventure game. Choose one of the four kooky characters to play with – Wednesday, Morticia, Gomez or Pugsley, to save the beloved Addam’s family mansion. Play in co-operative mode for even more family fun!

The loading screen reads - Uncle Fester maintains his perfectly bald head by sticking a fork in an outlet, saving money on shaving products.

Each character has special abilities that you can use as you navigate through the spooky locations. Wednesday’s pet octopus Socrates is ready to blast off and hover using a powerful ink spray, Pugsley’s hand-crafted bombs are a blast to roll around on and blow things up, Gomez’s ancient family Mazurka Saber is perfect for slicing and gliding and Morticia’s fashionable and friendly Spider Sling can shoot webs, grapple, swing and pull objects.

The graphics are awesome and true to the new animated movie franchise. I think this will make a fab Christmas gift for gamers.

Hobbycraft delivery

I’ve got some crafts planned, some to do with the kids and some for myself, so I’ve been busy ordering more crafts supplies. I’ve got quite a few Christmas crafts bits and bobs and just some general craft goodies that I am running low on.
This kind of delivery always cheers me up!
