Like most children, Jayden has always been a fan of building things. He loves toys that he can express his inner Bob the Builder and make the weirdest and most wonderful inventions.

One of his favourite sets is K’Nex and has had endless fun playing. The beautiful thing about K’Nex kits are that they also promote STEM learning and we all know about the benefits of learning through play.

Joben has shown a keen interest in Jayden’s building kits for a while, however, they can be a little fiddly for smaller hands. So we were so pleased to have discovered Kids K’Nex.

These lovely sets are very similar in design to the original K’Nex, but are all bigger, making it more tactile to promote fine motor skills. The colours used in the parts are really bright and vivid making them super attractive. The colours also make it a lot simpler to follow the instructions.

Included in this kit are plans for 50 different builds. All of which are easy for younger children to follow, however, Jayden also enjoyed getting involved and our two boys have spent quite a few hours playing together with this set now.

Like all K’Nex kits, the plans are only really for inspiration. Both Jayden and Joben designed and built a whole variety of creations from scratch. Monsters, creatures and even space ships were being made by both. They even made this fab heart-shaped flower for me.
