We love playing family games. We love them that much we are even a board game ambassador! Family games are a great way to spend some together, wind down and have some fun! We were recently sent Grabolo, the fast-paced match and grab game from John Adams and we are totally loving it!
Grabolo Age 4+
Grabolo is really easy to play. There are no complicated or long-winded rules so you can get playing almost straight away!
The game is for 2 or more people and all you need to do is simply lay out all of the pieces on the surface in front of you. Then the youngest player starts by throwing both of the dice.
The dice will then reveal an object and what colour the object is that you need to find and fast!
Once you grab the object, place it behind you so no-one can see it. If the selected object is not on the playing surface, you have the chance to steal it. Just shout out who has the piece, you can shout yourself if you think you have it to stop the steal. You then hand over the piece or prove that you don’t have it. If the accuser is wrong, they has to return one of their pieces to the playing surface
Players can also steal each others pieces. Shout out if you think another player already has the object on the dice. If they do have that piece then you can steal it! But beware, if you wrongly accuser another player then they get to steal one of your pieces!
We really do love these fast-paced games. The kids don’t lose interest like they can do with games that have a longer playing time.
Grabolo also comes in a compact little pot making it ideal to take away to those caravan holidays or a sleepover at someone’s house. All ages will soon be addicted to Grabolo, just like we are!
