The aim of the game
Prisma Arena by Rory O’Connor and John Fiore at Hub Games is a fast-paced game of arena combat. Based in Beacon, home to the Prisma Arena, you have to prove your skills in Prismakata – the ancient art of channeling Prisma, our inner light. Whilst building towards claiming the title as a fully trained Guardian to protect hope in the time of despair.
Forge bonds with your Mo’kons to attain your ranking.
Mo’kons are extensions of a Hero’s emotional state. Each has an ability that matches the feelings they represent.
Getting started!
Begin the game with Hero Registration. Each player chooses one of the four characters. All heroes start off as a novice with the same abilities and values. The more you play, the more your character will level up and unlock new uniforms and Prisma Power cards.
Everyone gets a hero standee, a hero card, a locker and a storage bag. Name your character and customise them with the relevant stickers.
Basic Training
In basic training, you take it in turns to move your hero and Mo’Kon around the Arena all whilst blasting, striking and grappling your opponent’s characters. Bounce them off the arena by filling up their hit gauge with hit tokens to score points. The winner is the first player to score 20 or more points at the end of the round.

Advanced Training
In advanced training characters have the opportunity to level up, earning grades and a new uniform.
Leveling up also unlocks Prisma Powers which rewards new abilities.
There are five grades of Prismakata – Novice, Seeker, Attuner, Channeler, and Guardian.
We absolutely loved this game. It is so fun, simple to play and super colourful. Jayden can lose interest quite quickly with some games but he really got absorbed into this. He liked leveling up his character and changing the costumes as the game progresses.
It’s pretty awesome!

Wow, it certainly does sound awesome and perfect for my Little Man who has a birthday coming up. It reminds me of the Pokemon card games my older kids used to play, where you’d level up and improve your game as you go along. I think this is a purchase from me 🙂
