There have been plenty of rainy days this week so I thought it was the perfect time to try out our 3rd game of this month from the lovely people at Asmodee.
We have been enjoying playing Timeline Science Museum and it’s such a fun game for all of the family to get involved with.
The card game comes in a compact metal box which is ideal to take along on trips or breaks away.

Inside the metal tin, you will find a lovely collection of 110 cards and the instruction booklet. Each of the cards has an image which is a historical invention or scientific breakthrough and the name of the event. On the reverse of the cards is the same picture and name but also the date which it was first completed.

The rules are really simple. Each player is dealt a number of cards, all cards should be kept in front of you with the date side down. The rest of the cards are placed in the centre of the table and the top one is turned over to reveal the date. This is the start of your timeline. You all take turns now to place one of your cards correctly into the timeline. When you have placed a card, turn it over to find out if you have the timeline correct. If the dates are in chronological order, it is the next player’s turn. If you have got it wrong, remove the card and take another from the pile. The winner is the first one to play all of their cards.

This is a fantastic game to play for all of the family. It is a great way to learn history too. Suitable for children aged 8+ as they will understand the inventions, medical achievements and scientific discoveries a little easier.

I love the box that this game came in. This sounds like a fantastic game for older kids. I think my two would love it. #MMBC
This looks perfect to take away on holiday, my science mad son would love to play with this!
Played this game earlier today, I quite liked it. My youngest, 7 years old, was less interested then get older sister.
This sounds like a really fun and educational game for adults as well as children!
