Summer Activities For Kids – Trampoline Tennis

Trampoline tennis

The summer holidays are in full swing (the summer weather isn’t mind) but we are loving having some time to chill out and have plenty of fun together.
With that said, I think most parents are with me when it comes to physically dragging the kiddies from screens and tech! My two love their iPads, especially my youngest who is autistic and my eldest loves his gaming pc and that’s OK. I’m not too strict to be honest, they are only young once! I let them enjoy it all but I do like to balance it out with some outdoors time too.
Luckily we enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors so I’m going to be sharing some kids toys and activities that are great for getting the kids outside and having fun in the fresh air.
This week we have been playing Trampoline Tennis thanks to the lovely people at The Happy Puzzle Company.

Throw It, Catch It, Bounce It! These versatile, trampoline-like disks are superb fun! They will get you and your family moving, playing together and performing tricks, whilst developing a whole range of skills, including hand/eye coordination, gross motor skills and concentration skills.

Trampoline tennis includes two trampoline tennis disks and a special string ball.
The disks are as it says, like a mini trampoline. Each disk has a tight net surface which you use to catch the ball and bounce back and forth with your opponent.
The size of the disks/bats are quite big and lightweight making them great for all ages.

The rubbery string ball accompanies the disks perfectly as it bounces really well, sending it flying up in the air. It might be an idea to bear this in mind if you have obstacles in and around your garden.

We live on the actual canal and have a weir running right around our home, and yes we hit our ball a little too hard! Can you spot our ball? Haha.

Thankfully we retrieved ours, but there are replacement balls available from The Happy Puzzle Company. Phew!

When you’ve had enough of playing tennis, you can then use the disk as a frisbee which would be great fun at the beach!
We really like Trampoline Tennis and it will keep us entertained in the garden for some time to come.

I hope you are having a lovely summer so far.
