Dinner times are a very much loved occasion in our house. I am lucky that my two boys love their food, although my eldest can be considerably pickier, he still enjoys his meals (with some tweaking of the ingredients).
A family tradition of ours has always been to eat our dinner at the table. It’s a nice way for us to sit together and spend some quality time together and it keeps my living room free from spills and crumbs!
We recently partnered up with the lovely folk at VonHaus to review their fantastic round glass dining table and chairs.
Our trusty wooden farmhouse table had seen better days and took up quite a lot of space. To bring in the new, we decided to try out a round table.
I am so glad that we did because it has been a real game changer in terms of making more space in the dining room.

A glass table is also another first for us. I have always been a little wary of glass tables with having young children, but this glass table is super strong! The tempered glass can support up to 50kg and provides heat resistance, making it a durable and reliable surface to last for years to come.
The table is delivered in two boxes and packaged extremely well.
When it comes to the assembly, putting the table and legs together is pretty straight forward and there are instructions provided should you need them.
My absolute favourite feature of the table is the beautiful chrome legs. The structure is so stunning and screams out a contemporary modern vibe. I love it!
Set of Blue Velvet and Chrome Chairs
The dining table is separate from the chairs, which is great as you can choose the chairs that best suit your current decor.
We chose the Set of Blue Velvet and Chrome Chairs. They also have stylish chrome legs that really compliment the table.
These too are super simple to assemble and really sturdy once built.
They have a luxurious velvet royal blue cushioning which is so comfortable to sit on. I also like the retro pin-tucked design to the back. They really do inject a little style into the space.

Sadly velvet and any porous material in my household does not last long before it gets covered with food stains. So for us it would have to be wood. It is lovely table though, very bold and a real centre piece

What a beautiful table and chair set! I love that blue color. We had a glass topped table when my boys were younger too but it only sat 4 so by the time my youngest was born we were looking for something larger to fit us all.
