Hands up who remembers playing the floor is lava as a kid? Using the sofa cushions scattered on the living room floor was our version! Haha.
My boys play it also but they are lucky to have The Floor Is Lava Game so there’s no flattening my cushions.
If you pop by regularly you will see that we’ve been sharing some summer activities for kids to enjoy over the holidays. This week we are featuring The Lawn Is Lava.

The Lawn Is Lava By Wahu
The lawn is Lava is a spin-off from the classic game The Floor is Lava that can now be played outdoors.
There are all new ways to play where your lawn becomes imaginary hot, molten lava!
Another fun twist is that you can use water bombs to drench your opponents as you play.
How To Play
Start off by choosing a referee who will be in charge of the spinner.
The game starts when the referee shouts “The Lawn Is Lava!” and all players need to be as fast as they can to stand on the closest stepping stone they can find.
Then the referee continues to spin and players must jump to the matching coloured stepping stones. However, players can jump to a different coloured stone to reach safety if they don’t touch the lawn. The last player to reach their new stone has their original stone removed.
This then carries on until you have a winner.
Water Balloons!
If the referee spins and it lands on ‘Eruption’ each player is given the option to grab a water balloon. Players must balance and remain on their step whilst trying to grab a water balloon!
This can then be used at any point of the game to drench their opponent and hopefully fall onto the lava!
The Lawn Is Lava is a super fun game for a sunny day in the garden. The whole family can join in and have a bit of a water fight whilst having fun playing the game.

This sounds like so much fun! I think I would want to be the spinner though, if water balloons were being used!
I remember playing it as a kid and my girls used to play the floor is lava too but they would have loved this game. It sounds like a lot of fun. x
