We love playing board games in our house so we are really enjoying being part of the Asmodee Blogger Board Game club, where we share fun family games with you every month. The first game we have played this month is Just One.
Just One Age 8+ RRP £17.99

Just One is a cooperative party game that is fun for all of the family.
Firstly, you have to shuffle the cards, take 13 from the pile and place them face down in the middle of the table. These are the cards you will be using for the game.
Each player gets an easel to write their word on and a coloured marker with an eraser on the end.
One player is chosen to be the active player. That player then chooses a card from the deck without looking and places it onto the easel for all other players to see. The active player then chooses a number from 1-5. Say the player picks 3. the other players have to write a single word clue that corresponds to the word chosen (without letting your team see).
It sounds easy, but it’s harder than you think! For one, you are only allowed to use one word and you have to try and be original because if you choose the same word as your team mates, the words are cancelled.

Before you show the active player your clues, you have to show the rest of your team your word. If any of you duplicate a word it will be cancelled before the active player sees it. if all is good, then you reveal your easel to the active player so they can try to guess what the word is. Only one guess is allowed.
If the active player guesses correctly, then the playing card is placed next to the deck face up. If they get it wrong then you return this card and the next top card to the game box.
The game ends when there are no cards left.
We really enjoyed playing Just One. It’s a little different from the games we already have and it gave us a few hours fun on a not so nice rainy day!

I can see the complications that can occur – if you and I choose the same clue and they get cancelled. Makes you think! #MMBC
This sounds like it might be trickier than it seems but looks like fun. It will definitely get you brain working trying to think of a clue that is good but not so obvious that others pick the same word! #mmbc
That is fun! We love cooperative games. I love the sound of this one. I can imagine it’s hard to think of a word that’s not obvious, but will still be a good clue. #MMBC
