So we had an awesome delivery just the other day. Monkey was a little excited to say the least, as he got to test out the new Thomas’ Shipwreck Rails Playset.
The motorised shipwreck playset is based on the new Thomas & Friends movie Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure, which is out on DVD on the 28th September.
It is recommended for ages 3-6 years.
Assembly
As you can see Monkey got stuck in with Daddy instantly and began to assemble the track. It really is quite simple to put together, as all of the tracks are coded underneath.
You also have an easy to follow instructions manual which explains which bit goes where.
The pieces click together easily and remain nice and sturdy once errected. It took 10-15 minutes to assemble.
Thomas is motorised so you need x2 AAA batteries for him. You will need to unscrew one screw to the front with a phillips screwdriver to get access to the battery holder.
So with little effort the 1.52 metre track was ready to play with in no time.
Motorised Thomas is activated by pushing the switch on top of him. He then goes off on his way up the steep incline and around the daring suspended track.
Monkeys favourite bit is the ‘Twisting Track’. Thomas turns upside down whilst going down the 360º spiral track.

Pretty awesome isn’t it?!. We think so too.
We definitely recommend this for little Train enthusiasts, it’s lots of fun.
