Spring is right around the corner, bringing new life to the garden along with it, but what about your home? Your garden may be ready to come into bloom with all of the freshness of new plant life, but your decor will stay the same.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be that way – there are so many simple changes you can make to freshen up your home decor ready for spring too. Check out some of the best spring decor ideas below.
Clean and declutter
The most effective way to freshen up your decor for spring is to simply clean and declutter the place. Spring cleaning will have everything sparkling like new, and getting rid of anything you no longer need or love will bring a sense of spaciousness to your home. Finish off by adding a few drops of your favourite spring scent in the air purifier for home bliss.
Switch out the soft furnishings
As the weather starts to get warmer, a really simple way of refreshing your home decor for the spring is to remove all of those heavy winter blankets and furry cushions and replace them with light, airy, and colourful spring alternatives. This will make your whole home seem lighter and fresher, and you’ll be far more comfortable with those lighter fabrics in spring
Spring blooms
Nothing screams spring more than the vibrant reds, purples, and yellows of fresh tulips. So, once spring has sprung, why not pick up a few and turn them into lots of little mini-bouquets that you can place on side tables, windowsills, and anywhere else you fancy toad a stunning pop of spring colour that will really cheer the place up.
Bring on the botanical wallpaper
If you’re looking to make a more dramatic change to your home this spring, then botanical wallpaper is a great way to do this, Printed with vibrant plants and flowers, it will ensure that your home looks every bit as bright and spring-like as the garden, but without all of the pruning and weeding.
Bring the outdoors indoors
Of course, if you do have a beautiful garden, there is nothing wrong with utilizing it to make your interior decor more interesting, From hanging succulents from the ceiling to placing a potted plant on every table, anything you can do to link nature to your interior will help with that fresh spring vibe you are trying to achieve.
Pretty as a pastel
If you are looking to paint your home, then you cannot go wrong with pastels like baby pink, duck egg blue, or cornflower yellow. All of these colours are often found in nature, and they add pops of colour while still being subtle. Whether on feature walls or as a new lick of paint for your old dark furniture, pastels will look great.
Spring decor is about simplicity, renewal, and pretty natural colours, so it’s difficult to go wrong really, and the above ideas will help you get started with a home freshen-up of your own.
We are moving house in a few months so I am going through the house decluttering and I am feeling so much better and organised about moving

Lovely ideas. I’m really looking forward to spring! #MMBC
Switching up the soft furnishings is such a good way of revitalising home decor. We always have fresh flowers in the house and I do love it once daffodils and tulips become available again. We’re definitely in need of a spring clean and declutter here as well! #MMBC

Lovely reading this post on a cold autumn day where the sky is grey. Would love for Spring to come again soon and I can bring the plants in and watch them blossom
