After having children the pelvic floor muscles take a complete hammering! And let’s face it, as a consequence, those of us in the mum club have to seriously concentrate when we need to sneeze. I have to hold my hands up to not doing my pelvic floor exercises as much as I should have, so when Perifit recently sent us their kegel exercise device I was curious to see what it could do!
How Does The Perifit Work?
The Perifit pelvic floor trainer works alongside an app via Bluetooth to help you work on strengthening your pelvic floor muscles and to ensure that the exercises are done correctly.
On first appearances, it does look a little like a sex toy! But the design makes it easier to insert. It has a silicone outer with a plastic cord which can be cleaned before putting away.
This is best used when lying down and a water-based lubricant can be used to aid insertion if needed.

The Kegal Exercise Device Game App
The aim of the game is really simple. You control a bird by squeezing your kegel muscles! Along the way, you have to collect lotus flowers and avoid oncoming obstacles. It takes flappy bird to a whole new level doesn’t it?!
Depending on how hard you tense your muscles, the bird will fly higher and when you relax the bird descends.

There is a little test at the start of each level, this measures the muscles abilities and sets the level accordingly. The levels get harder as you improve your exercises, giving your kegel muscles more of a workout.
A radar graph shows your progress including accuracy, force, stamina and release which is really handy to be able to see your progress.
Reasons To Use Perifit
- Combats incontinence
- Helps pelvic floor disorders
- Improves intimate wellbeing
- 1000 doctors recommend the Perifit
My Thoughts
I have been using my Perifit for around a month now and have already noticed a significant improvement. I can track my progress and see not only are my muscles working harder, but I feel confident that I am doing the exercises right too. Compared to the Evie pelvic floor trainer that I already own, I would say this is my favourite for sure. And pelvic floor exercises are no longer a mundane task that I used to put off for another day. I am much more motivated to do them now which is always a good thing.
The Perit is available at the Perifit store for $129 which is approximately £99
