Becoming a mum is the best feeling in the whole world. However, we do have to go through the mill to have our titles don’t we ladies. There’s the emotional rollercoaster that we all have to ride, pulling our feelings and emotions this way and that way. There’s the excess weight we are left to deal with and the incontinence (for some), it’s no wonder our confidence takes a bashing.
Now I’m all for having something done ie: cosmetic surgery or treatment if a part of my body should cause confidence issues or have an impact on my daily life, but and a big but! Is that I firmly believe it should only be done because it’s what I truly want, not because of what others may think.
Childbirth can have a dramatic effect on the pelvic floor and I for one was wondering if I even had a lady garden left after giving birth to two 10 lb babies!
Getting back to the old you with Silk’n Tightra

The Silk’n Tightra is an intimate device that is designed to give you back your confidence by tightening and firming up the tissue in and around the vagina (mimsy, tuppence or whatever you nickname your lady bits!). It can be done safely in the comfort of your own home and saves a fortune if you were to have the same treatment at a clinic.
How does the Silk’n Tightra work?
It works by using Bi-Polar RF energy to firm up collagen in the tissue which can then go on to improve…..
- A weak bladder
- Improves sensation in the genitals
- Sexual intercourse
- Strengthens vaginal walls

You can also use it externally to tighten the skin around your vulva. It is super simple to use, just charge it up with the USB charging cable and make yourself comfortable. The device comes with Silk’n intimate gel which is essential to allow the electrodes to work properly. It is really watery so you really don’t need much. You can get replacement gel from the Silk’n online store but you can use any brand of water-based gel.

The Silk’n Tightra has 16 electrodes that target the RF energy exactly where you need it. Simply rotate the device every so often to maintain conductivity and make sure that you are getting all of your tissues. Start on the lowest frequency setting and when you are comfortable with the sensation, increase the frequency. The device turns itself off after 20 minutes so you don’t have to time it, just relax with your book, or pop a box set on.
The best thing about this device is that it has taken proven technology that has been used to tighten any tissues that contain collagen for quite some time in private clinics and bought that technology into our homes.
The Silk’n Tightra is safe to use for most women between 35 and 60. You only need to use it twice a week and you should see results by weeks four to five.
I think this device is genius for those of us that are unhappy or uncomfortable with our lady bits and I find it quite empowering for us all.
Can be purchased from the following stores –currentbody.com shytobuy.uk and Amazon.

Great blog post, I am due to give birth to my first next month!
Building Your Confidence. Both Body and Mind / Emotions seem to matter with this blog topic. Pelvic muscle tone is important. As though poor tone can lead to Risk of incontinence, etc. Who wants to admit a difficulty / problem with incontinence. Maybe this NEEDS to be prioritised via the NHS (National Health Service). As incontinence will likely impact on the NHS at some time, even though individual may initially be quiet and secretive in regards to this problem :- Through embarrassment, lack of confidence, etc.
Continence and pelvic muscle tone may need to become an ISSUE which is addressed following childbirth, etc. Just as Postnatal Depression is actively sought out in order to be addressed. Being addressed at an early stage may well increase chance of full recovery. As well as reduced overall costs to NHS / Public Purse.
People Matter. Continence is Important.
