Has bringing little ones into the world totally destroyed your pelvic floor?

Are trampolines a no go? Perhaps you have to cross your legs whenever you feel a sneeze coming on!

Well, the good thing is you are not alone as 1 in 10 women suffer from a weakened pelvic floor due to childbirth, high impact sports and ageing. If like me you have done the pelvic floor exercises as recommended by GP’s and midwives and wondered if you are doing enough or feeling like you are not getting the results you wanted, then that is where Elvie could be a game changer!

Elvie Your Personal Trainer

The Elvie is a clever little device that is designed to improve and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. It has also claimed to improve your sex life ladies! You simply download the compatible app to your mobile phone and connect the pebble-shaped trainer via bluetooth.

The Elvie is inserted just like a tampon. Once you are comfortable and ready to go you can play fun five-minute workouts on your phone using real-time biofeedback. The app has a little gem that moves in real time to your exercises. You will never want to play Candy Crush or Gardenscape again! With this clever interactive app, you have the reassurance that you are doing the exercises correctly, therefore feeling the benefit of the results much quicker.

I love the concept of the Elvie and would certainly recommend this to anybody who suffers from a weak pelvic floor. It costs £169. Although this may be a little expensive for some, it is genuinely going to help improve your quality of life, now that to me is priceless really.

What do you think of the Elvie? Is this something you would love to try?

  1. Hi Jayne, I would give it a go, but it is a little out of my price range though! My pelvic floor muscles aren’t what they were, but they are better than they were a few years back.. I’m sure there is still plenty of room for improvement though. I always wear a pad when out running (Tenor do some very discreet ones) ‘just in case’, most of the time I’m okay, but there are times when I’m not. Weak pelvic floor muscles aren’t something women talk about, it’s almost like it’s a taboo subject.
