I try to rotate which rooms in the house to deep clean each month so that each of them gets a good deep cleaning at least twice a year… though admittedly I have slacked off more now that the kids are older than I used to when they were little. I’m not entirely sure why but perhaps it’s because there is less clutter to go through and that usually starts my whole deep cleaning process.
I did a deep clean of my bedroom the other day and I was amazed by how much ‘stuff’ I had in my bedside drawers! I also moved my bed and got right into all the nooks and crannies. It sure felt so good when it was done. I need to do each room in the house on a rotation, thanks so much for your post. It inspired me!

Must admit that I am not all that good at keeping up any sort of deep cleaning schedule, although my house is pretty hygenic. My biggest weaknes is not dusting the places that are harder to reach!
I do hate deep cleaning. The idea of removing every ornament and photo frame off the shelf, give them a dust as well as the shelf, bores me so much. Cleaning the skirting boards, the door frames. window tracks aren’t so bad. But nothing I hate more than cleaning the kids’ toys. There’s just too many of time and some that require hand washing
