bench in garden

Whilst recently pondering buying some new garden furniture, I got to thinking about how important the quality and materials used in the garden furniture manufacturing process are when planning for outdoor furniture which will stand up to the great British weather year on year.

You sometimes hear stories of people that have bought a brand new wooden dining set just to find that a year later they are left with a faded, rickety furniture set which is relegated to the bottom of the garden out of sight.

While searching online, I came across The Garden Furniture & Interiors Co,  a retailer of quality garden furniture with guarantees ranging from 3-10 years. They stock a large range of garden furniture from well-respected manufacturers such as Barlow Tyrie, Bramblecrest, Alexander Rose and many more. I noticed that a majority of their Barlow Tyrie garden furniture is covered by a full 10-year manufacturers guarantee which I think shows the confidence that they have in the quality of their products.

My next thought was what material would fair best being subjected to years of being left outside. Well again, Barlow Tyrie’s 10-year guarantee applies to many types of garden furniture constructed in many types of material, including Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Teak and even Weave. Many other brands also offer a 10-year guarantee on much of their furniture but it was actually the Bramblecrest Monterey I personally took a fancy to.

In conclusion, as with many things it comes down to budget and of course how well you look after things, but for what I can see, if you are able to invest in some garden furniture from a reputable brand which offers long guarantees, you can be safe in the fact that your furniture will be in tip-top condition for years to come.
