My boys have so many things to play with but it is always the noisy toys that are their favourites! I am sure all of you parents out there can relate to this and currently nodding your heads at the screen right now! You can imagine to my son’s delight when he was sent this awesome little Ukulele from First Act Discovery.
Jayden has shown a huge interest in music from quite a young age. We are starting to plan lessons now so he can learn a few instruments of his choice, but whilst we put those into place he is going to start with his new Ukulele.

The first thing that I noticed when we opened up the packaging was what a professional finish the Ukulele has. I was expecting it to look more childlike (more of a toy), but it is actually a real instrument.
The design is awesome with a black background and bright blue stars and paint splats. Also available is a white ukulele with a teal coloured butterfly pattern.

The guitar-like tuning gears make easy work of ensuring the ukulele is in perfect tune before use. It also has nylon strings to emit that traditional uke sound.

Jayden has not put his ukulele down since it arrived. He is already getting the hang of it. I think we are going to seek out an online tutor service so he can gain some further practise and play it properly. I’m not sure about the Metallica songs he pretends to play suit the instrument though! Hehe. But for now, he can continue to serenade his mummy with his own little made up songs!

I think these are a fab instrument to introduce kids to the music world and give them a new challenge to take up after the half term holidays. They would make also make a wonderful Christmas gift for budding musicians.
Available from Smyths Toys.
