We have been homeschooling for over 6 years now so it’s no surprise that I am a huge fan of educational toys. Throughout our home-ed journey, we have used a lot of Learning Resources products to make learning fun. From letter recognition, numeracy, STEM skills and more, they have all of your lessons covered.
We have recently partnered up with the lovely Learning Resources to show some of the fab educational toys available. Today we are sharing our thoughts on the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Wildlife Camera.
GeoSafari® Jr. Talking Wildlife Camera™ £60.00 Age 4+ Years
Featuring the voice of Robert Irwin, kids can go on exciting adventures in the comfort of their own home. With over 130 images and 200 facts and quizzes, the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Wildlife Camera is a super fun educational toy.
Putting the camera together is super simple, the legs click securely into the base of the camera and you are almost ready to go. You will need 3 x AAA batteries (not included).
To turn on the camera slide the yellow switch to the right. You can also control the volume here too.
It also has a handy tilt function so you can move the position of the camera.
There is an easy to operate control panel on the front of the camera.

- Power button/volume button
- 1, 2, 3 buttons for quiz questions
- Quiz button
- Fact button
- World button
- Left & Right Arrow buttons
Explore different Regions
Children can choose from five regions to visit by using the left and right buttons –
- Arctic
- Mexican Desert
- Amazonian Rainforest
- African Savanna
- Australia
The friendly voice of Robert guides you on your journey. Joben loved looking into the lens to see what animals he could spot in the wild. Robert shares lots of facts and will even test your knowledge in quiz mode. Press the 1, 2 or 3 button to give your answer.
Another cool feature is that by removing the camera from the tripod and turning the lens, it puts the camera into play mode. Kids can then play outside and pretend to have their very own wildlife adventure.
What I loved About The Camera
- I love how engaging the camera is. My youngest is autistic, and keeping his attention can sometimes prove to be very hard work. I was pleasantly surprised by how much Joben interacted with this.
- The chunky design. The camera was certainly designed with little hands in mind. It’s big handles make it easy to hold and I would be very confident that it would survive a drop or two.
- It’s aesthetically pleasing. The colours are bright and fun.
- It can be used as an educational resource and for free play.

I am so impressed with the GeoSafari Talking Wildlife Camera and it gets a big thumbs up from Joben too.
