A tv, popcorn and remote control. What we've been watching this month on TV.

The nights are closing in and I love nothing more but to get the old pj’s on and watch something good on TV. So I’ve put together another little round-up of what we’ve been watching in September. I hope it gives you some ideas of what to watch too!

TV

Secrets Of The World’s Most Expensive Cruise Ships

This is great for a bit of in the week Tele! Focusing on the Seven Seas Explorer, it shows the lengths that 550 crew go to make sure that the guests are satisfied and comfortable. With a 14-night cruise costing up to £42,999 per person, I should think they do!

The Capture

We stumbled across this one whilst we were looking for something else! This is quite different to what we have been watching lately. Full of twists and suspense this series is all about the capabilities of the intelligence services and how they can shockingly fake news, as soldier Shaun finds out. Not a bad watch at all really.

Doc Martin

I love watching Doc Martin and was so pleased to see that the start of series 9 is currently being aired on the TV. Doc Martin’s sarcasm and low tolerance of people makes me laugh. So far so good with this series, but then again I expected nothing more. This one is always on our Sky+ record list.

Great British Bake Off

Ready, set, bake! I can’t believe that this is in its 10th season. I still love watching it and think Noel and Sandy are awesome. There have been a few shock departures so far, my money is on Steph to win!

Walking Dead Season 10

I was a little bit fed up at the end of season 8. I felt that nothing was actually happening and that the season finale was just overrated. I did think that season 9 was a big improvement and that the show was returning back to its original style. I am now genuinely looking forward to seeing how season 10 unfolds. Will Negan become the saviour of Alexandria?

Netflix

Hitman Redemption

I’m always on the lookout for a good film and when I saw that Ron Perlman was star role, I knew that it was most likely going to be a good one.
Ron plays a hitman that falls for a teacher who gets dragged into his world during a job that went wrong. Definitely worth a watch.

Flinch

Have you seen this?! Oh my days I’ve never laughed so much. Contestants have their nerves put to the test with various tasks. Should they flinch, they have to pay for it big time with painful consequences. If you have a stupid sense of humour like myself, then this one’s for you!

Sky

John Wick Parabellum

I loved the first John Wick film. I thought it was original and fresh. The second one was pretty much just a continuation and the third is no different. I must admit though, the fight scenes are bloody brilliant and it is definitely worth watching if you are into your action films.

Smallfoot

One for the whole family, this is a great feel-good film. A Yeti discovers a human (smallfoot) and takes him back to his community in the Himalayas to prove their existence. Good clean fun which had everybody giggling in our house.

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald

We loved the first Fantastic Beasts film I don’t know why it took us so long to get round to watch the sequel. Newt Salamander steps in to save the world again against the forces of darkness. Fantastic effects as always with a superb cast.

First Man

This is the story of the life of Neil Armstrong in the lead up to the moon landings. It gives a great insight into the lengths that the Americans were willing to go to in order to beat the Russians onto the moon.
