As the days become longer and the sun’s rays start to feel just a bit warmer, you might be gearing up for big changes to the design of your room, home, office, restaurant, etc. This is a great call because spring is a wonderful time for changes. Winter’s isolation and yearning for warmth are quickly replaced by a yearning to go outdoors, breathe fresh air, and mingle with new people. Open-air rooftops
This trend is most closely attuned to restaurant design, as few homeowners or office managers have the opportunity to make drastic changes to the roof of their buildings. On the other hand, restaurants can attract a trove of new customers by giving them the option to relax outside with a drink or a tasty meal. If there is also a great view from the roof, it will have customers lining up eagerly.
Green spaces
Given that many plants thrive in spring, there are few better occasions for spiffing up your design with some greens. Whether you go with potted plants, vines, hedges, or some other variety of plant to your design, this will be an addition that provides benefits for a long time to come. Beyond the aesthetic value, real green plants create oxygen, have been shown to improve mood, and serve as a great symbol of eco-friendly planning.
Wood decorations
Wood designs are coming back into trend in 2020, and there is no shortage of places where you can implement them. For example, you can invest in wooden furniture that will stay pleasantly cool in the spring and summer, or build some additional constructions (like a patio) out of wood, or go for simple accessories to hang up in the rooms of your building.
Pendant lights
Pendant lights can be described as lights that hang low from a ceiling or surface, suspended by a chain or other variety of cord. This kind of light is usually situated just several feet above a table and contributes to a much more intimate atmosphere. Most of the light is focused on the table/surface that it is situated above, leaving anyone sitting beneath it to comfortably talk without blinding light above.
Birds
We can hear plenty of bird songs in the spring, but why not go the extra step and add birds to your design? Let’s face it – everyone loves birds, and you can choose a bird-themed addition based on your personal preferences. This could be a wallpaper, a metal bird statue on a building beam, or something else creative. You could even set up a bird feeder nearby.
Mixing elements of old and new
Steampunk design has become quite popular recently with its mix of retro and futuristic styles, and you could emulate it somewhat with an update to design. You may not need something very futuristic or incredibly old, but can try just showcasing objects of different generations on a wall, such as old vinyl records and Polaroid cameras with computer keys and fidget spinners.
