Tenerife With Kids

If you are a regular reader of mine then you will know how much I love Lanzarote. It is such a beautiful place and one that has a little something for all of the family. We will definitely be booking up in the near future for sure! But my love of the Canary Islands doesn’t stop there. We are looking at visiting the gorgeous island of Tenerife. So as we will be going as a family of four, I have been looking at what there is to do with the kids.

3 Things To Do In Tenerife That The Kids Will Love

Submarine Safari

Nevermind the kids, as soon as I saw this I wanted to jump on board! The thought of being on a submarine and up close to all of that marine life is just awesome. The tours started off originally in Lanzarote, however, they became increasingly popular and then expanded to Tenerife.
The yellow submarine (how uncanny!) goes 20-30 metres down and gives you the opportunity to see lots of various fish and stingrays. My eldest loves anything to do with ocean life so he would be in his element on this! There is also a cafe and souvenir shop back at base so ideal for having a snack and reflecting on the amazing experience. Not to mention spending a fortune in the gift shop as we always do with our little monsters in tow!

Loro Parque Zoo

As a family that love animals, we couldn’t go to Tenerife without visiting their infamous Loro Parque Zoo. There are lots of wonderful shows to enjoy, such as the orcas and dolphins, penguins, sea lions, birds and much more! The zoo has spacious grounds for the kids to enjoy exploring and it is pushchair friendly. There is also plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and plenty of picnic areas to take a little break.

Playa Las Vistas Beach

There is one place that we all like to be and that’s the beach! We love discovering new beaches and even have it as a ‘to do’ on our bucket list this year. We have even managed to cross this off already on our recent stay in Devon. The boys have a whale of a time splashing in the sea and building some sort of sand castle sculptures only to kick them all down afterwards! But have fun doing so all the same. So it seems only right that we pop by Playa Las Vistas beach. With its clear calm waters, we can all enjoy making some memories with a bit of a paddle and play some fun beach games together. Then top off the day with a nice bite to eat nearby.

So there are some fun places to enjoy in Tenerife. Have you been to any of the above?
