Owleez Interactive Flying Toy Review

I do love owls. We are very lucky to have one living by our home and you can often hear him calling during the night. The boys are now the proud owners of their very own little owl! Well, an Owleez toy owl to be exact and these fun interactive toys are created by the guys at Spinmaster.  I think Owleez are going to be on a lot of children’s Christmas lists this year!

Owleez Interactive Pet Age 6yrs+

Owleez toy owls are an interactive pet that you can play with, feed and train to fly!

The Owlleez are charged via a USB cable, so you will need to pop this on charge before little ones can play with it. The eyes flash red whilst charging and will then turn green once fully charged.

Training Owleez

The aim is to train Owleez to fly. You can interact with Owleez in so many ways. For instance, if they get hungry then feed them some berries. If they get cold you can snuggle up with them or they may just take a nap and will make a cute little snoring sound. There is a guide included that shows you the different colours that the eyes change to and the meaning of each one.

Fly Away!

You can teach Owleez to fly by waiting until his eyes turn white. Throw him up in the air and wait to hear him shout weeeee and then a trumpet sound will follow and his eyes turn rainbow coloured. You can then return him to his nest where he will attempt to fly!

It really is quite crazy when he prepares to take off as he reveals propellors and starts powering up like a drone. You should stand back at this point because like any baby bird he could head in any direction and is rather clumsy! After the Owleez crashes, it will then close back up by itself and is ready to practice all over again.
It does state to only use indoors, but ours did keep heading for our TV so we decided it was best to take him out in the garden.

You will need to be prepared to have to charge him frequently as flying does seem to drain the power quite quickly.

We do love Owleez and have always found Spinmaster toys to be a big hit in our house. For £49.99 some may feel that this is a little expensive but there is a lot of playability and I can’t see the kids getting bored anytime soon.
