Warm summer nights, BBQs and get-togethers with friends, oh I can’t wait! I love spending more time in the garden come summer.
Garden lighting can really change the aesthetics of your outdoor space and make it super welcoming for guests too.
They are a great way to add colour and ambience to your garden and are also very easy to install and maintain.
Here are some on-trend ways to illuminate your space this summer.
Illuminated Borders
If you have plants and shrubs in your garden, then using lights to highlight the borders can make them really stand out. Introduce them to flower beds and in between shrubs to give a gentle glow around your plants and foliage, perfect for creating a romantic space or a cozy haven for gatherings.
Twinkling Canopies
If you have a pergola there are many different types of lighting available, but the most popular are outdoor string lights. String lights come in different shapes and sizes and can be hung from the top of the pergola down, or from side-to-side across the top of the pergola.
String lights are easy to install and can be connected using small cable ties, which makes them easy to remove when they need maintenance or replacement.

Pretty Pathways
Solar-powered lights are one the most popular and affordable lighting solutions for an outdoor space. Simply stake them into position and light up pathways or borders.
Having no cables makes them super practical giving you the choice to move them around whenever you wish.

Ambient Walls
Add wall-mounted lanterns to your exterior walls for all year round light. They are perfect for giving the effect of an extension to the home.
Wall lights are not solely used for decoration, they also serve a functional purpose. Mounted mains powered lights will provide security for your property keeping everything well lit.
Do you have a favourite light feature in your garden?
I have been thinking about getting some solar-powered string lights for our back garden. Next door has some and they look lovely x
I love summer nights when I can spend the evenings outdoors, it always feels so magical with the right lighting
solar powered lights are great, we have some lovely fairy lights in our seating area, but I’ve been thinking of adding more light to my garden.
Just this weekend I pulled up an old string of lights bordering the flower bed. It hadn’t worked in a while and looked really sad. I do love lights in the garden and will buy easy solar lights to replace the electric one. Lovely post. Have a great week! #MMBC
I don’t have any lighting in our garden and while I am drawn to all these I rarely think to actually stop and purchase them! I think I’d love solar lights around the border and along our walkways.
We have a string of solar powered lights that have been going for the last three years. Even in the winter. A set for our driveway is next on my list. I like the idea of highlighting the shrubs in the flower bed too. #mmbc
Ooo lights are a big key feature to really help x #mmbc
We are currently renovating our back garden and I am busy looking at the range of solar lights that we can use, so thank you for this review.
I’m looking at getting some solar powered string lights. Useful and cheaper than paying for the electricity.
I’d love some solar powered lights for the garden – I love how they are cable free so you can move them. The ones I see in our neighbour’s gardens are very dim. Maybe it’s just the time of the year as we are not into Summer yet x
Love outdoor lights and at the moment we are trying to mke a nice area in the garden that we can sit in, in the Summer hopefully
Garden lighting adds something to garden or patio styling that nothing else can. Great ideas above. Thank you.
I have some solar powered colour changing flowers that look gorgeous if it has been a sunny day!
Solar powered lightning is definitely the eco friendly solution
We have solar powered lights on the walkway in the summer, they do look great. Fab ideas.
