Here is what our meal plan looks like for the week ahead.

Monday

Slow Cooker Beef Stew And Mustard Mash. Comfort food to break in the week. Craig is usually later on Monday so having a slow cooker meal is perfect as I don’t have to worry about keeping it warm.

Tuesday

Homemade lasagne. Craig will be making this. His lasagne tastes so much better than mine!

Wednesday

Slow cooker chicken curry served with mini cheesy naan bread and basmati rice. A nice midweek treat!

Thursday

Potato gratin. Another winter warmer. Cheesy potato goodness!

Friday

MFC. During lockdown with little to no access to takeaways due to shielding, I wanted to make something fun for the boys as they were missing eating out. So M.F.C was born! (Mum’s Fried Chicken). I ordered all of the authentic takeaway containers from Amazon, including chicken popcorn containers, fries boxes and even the kids’ meal boxes. It went down a storm and now it’s a treat that we have every now and then. It’s so much cheaper than a genuine takeaway too!

Saturday

Roast chicken dinner with all of the trimmings. (And lots of thick gravy).

Sunday

We will be eating out today as we are off out pumpkin picking and attending a family press event.

What have you got planned for this week?

  1. What a fab meal plan and the beef stew is the perfect way to start a new week. We love making our own fried chicken. I think the takeaway containers is such a lovely touch. x

    1. It’s so much cheaper isn’t it?!
The containers are great, they are inexpensive and make it a bit more fun for the kids. x

  2. I like the sound of the Slow Cooker Mild Chicken Curry! It’s a lovely thought to be able to come home from work and it’s ready to eat!

  3. Wow! Lasagne on a weekday is pretty amazing. For me to prepare the vegs, make the mince meat, the white sauce and then the assembling is too much time for a weekday dinner. Have fun at the pumpkin picking.
