Meal planning for families.

Happy Monday!  It’s time for another meal plan. Last weeks meal plan went down a storm, well all except the sausage and leek mash pie that was for Sunday. It was so hot yesterday neither of us felt like cooking and we decided to have a cheeky McDonalds instead!

So here’s what we have lined up for the week ahead.

Monday – Pasta Bolognaise. I have everything in to make my own sauce and I will be using Quorn instead of minced meat.

Tuesday – Jacket potatoes with tuna and sweetcorn. The boys are really liking this lately.

WednesdaySouthern-style chicken with rice and salad. This tastes really good, and there’s always plenty extra for Craig to take to work on the next day.

ThursdayChar Sui Noodles, A little bit of fakeaway never hurt anybody! I think this Slimming World friendly recipe tastes every bit as good as your local Chinese takeaway.

Friday – Tacos. I normally have an extra mild Stand ‘N’ Stuff™ Soft Taco Kit in the cupboard and we always look forward to Taco time!

Saturday – Pork and apple burgers with sweet potato fries

Sunday – Sausage & leek mash pie. No swapping for McDonald’s this week!

  1. Our menu went out the window last week too; we had a tropical storm come through on Tuesday that wiped out our power until Saturday so I was scrambling to find things I could cook on the grill or make without cooking at all! Hopefully this week I can stick to a menu of sorts. It’s on my list to make today using most of what I had bought for last week’s menu.

  2. If we had a McDonalds close enough I would have opted for that yesterday instead of the cottage pie. I felt like I was melting in the kitchen while I cooked it. lol
Great meal plan! You’re right about the slimming world recipes, some of them are really good and my lot know no difference from a normal recipe. hehehe x

  3. It’s so hard to cook when it’s so hot isn’t it! A cheeky McDonalds is always a winner in our house!

Thanks for linking up and I hope you have a fantastic week.
