Indoor Camping Fun Plus Free Printable!

Camping is so much fun but as we wait patiently to be able to get out and about once again we thought it would be fun to go camping…..in the living room!

You need not spend a fortune for the kids to enjoy themselves. With a little imagination, little ones can go on an epic adventure without leaving the house! Camping indoors is a nice activity to do on a rainy day to keep the kids entertained.

Some Tasty Treats

I started off by finding my boys backpacks out. I popped a blanket into each one and made some sandwiches and snacks for them to enjoy.

A Pretend Campfire

As we were going off-grid camping we were going to need a campfire! You can find a campfire background on YouTube to set the scene. The one we used runs for about 10 hours, so you can just leave it on in the background. Listening to the crackling of the wood-burning makes it feel real!

The toasting fork is incredibly cute! You can swap from toasting a marshmallow to cooking a sausage by simply insert the plastic prongs into the desired food which have pre-moulded holes. There is also biscuits and chocolate to make smores!

In addition to that, there is a little chunky blue lantern which is perfect for little hands to hold.

We used our teepee to camp in but it really doesn’t matter what you use. You could make a den using a couple of chairs and some blankets, it’s just as much fun.
