Time for another book tour with the lovely gang at LiterallyPR! This week I have been reading Emily’s Algarve Escape By DCR Bond and it’s a good one!

The Blurb
Abandoning her glamourous life in London’s Knightsbridge for the breathtaking Algarve, desperate Emily seeks a new life of luxury, sun-drenched days and, most needed of all, her financial freedom.
But, with family in tow, this isn’t a simple relocation…
Tensions mount, boundaries are tested, shortcomings confronted and priorities re-evaluated as the Ellis’s stumble into unexpected roles, discover hidden talents and try to reconcile the fact that their previous way of life has all but ended.
Can Emily prevent catastrophe as she navigates a new country, customs and work-life balance? Will blood ties hold as nerves fray?
My Thoughts
I really enjoyed Emily’s Algarve Escape. I was really caught up in following the family’s journey as they tried to adjust to a new life in the Algarve. It did make me smile how Emily was more concerned about how much of her shopping allowance was going to be cut, rather than the whole upheaval of moving! She is a likable character as are her husband Mark and her son Alex.
The story kept me engaged and wanting to see what happened to the Ellis family next on their venture into the unknown. The end has a lovely twist that closes the story wonderfully.
Emily’s Algarve Escape is a lovely book to accompany a bit of relaxation on holiday for a nice light-hearted read. I will be looking out for more books by DCR Bond.

This book would have me dreaming! I love the cover illustration, too.
This sounds like my kind of book
It’s nice to get lost in a book isn’t it although I tend to read crime fiction books so end up having awful nightmares after reading them before bed haha but I do love a good book.
