Reusable crochet bathroom accessories. Crochet scrubbies in cotton pastel yarn

I don’t know about you, but all of this hot weather we have been having has left me wanting to live in the shower! It has been scorching hasn’t?! With that in mind, I thought it was the perfect time to crochet some pretty pastel re-usable bathroom accessories!

Pretty pastel washcloth

I used a cotton yarn for these makes for obvious reasons. They are going to submersed in water the majority of the time so you want them to keep their rigidity! And cotton yarn is super soft so ideal for all of the family to use!
First I crocheted myself a washcloth using white, teal and pink yarn. It is a really easy pattern to follow.  I will be posting individual posts for each make, so keep an eye out for those.

Scrub a dub dubbing with my new crochet shower puff!

I loved making this crochet shower puff! It’s super easy and I kind of went on to autopilot throughout. You see, it doesn’t take too much brainpower! And after a busy day, that’s just what I like.

Add a little soap and it lathers up really well. This one is the largest size and I have also made a couple of smaller ones for the boys.
It’s already done a few cycles in the washing machine. I do love that by using this I am cutting down on waste, and not having to keep replacing it.

Eco-friendly face scrubbies

Crochet face scrubbies are great for removing makeup, cleansing or applying skin creams and lotions.  They are really quick to make and I think they look lovely and colourful in my mini mason jar in the bathroom.

I think all of the above make great handmade gifts too. I have already made up a few gift sets of my own. Just add some bath bombs and a nice bar of soap and it makes a lovely little pampering gift for someone.

Have you made anything recently? Or perhaps you loathe crafts and prefer to buy instead!

  2. I love the idea of the shower puff. Must give it a go. I’ve made face scrubbies and flannels, but not thought to crochet a puff. Bet it’s nicer to use than the net versions. Isn’t it wonderful to move away from the one use versions? #MMBC
