If there’s one thing that you can’t have enough of, that’s candles! I love candles. They are perfect for filling the home with my favourite smells throughout the summer and nice to see flickering away on the fireplace come the colder winter evenings. I don’t need any excuse to buy a candle and now that I have recently discovered the fab new summer ranges of Bolsius candles, garden citronella and holiday dreams. I think I may have to add even more to my collection!
Bringing the outdoors indoors
The lovely new Holiday Dreams range is full of beautiful summer fragrances. Craig offered to keep the boy’s busy whilst I had a soak in the bath with a cheeky tipple and good read. There was no way that I was going to turn down a little peace and quiet, so I went up those stairs like a shot! I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out one of my new candles so I chose Tuscan Hills. The aroma is just gorgeous, it’s what I’d explain as standing in moorlands and smelling the surrounding trees and wildflowers.
Provence Lavender
I have to be honest I would much rather smell lavender sprigs in the garden than in an artificial fragrance such as soap or bubble bath as it seems very overpowering otherwise. This surprisingly has a more gentle aroma and would also be perfect to light whilst winding down in the bath. I love the pretty design of the butterflies fluttering over the lavender field.
Holiday Vibes
The Carribean Beach and the North Sea Dune fill the home with scents of the sea air, coconut, musk, lavender and soft notes of citrus. They are true summer fragrances and make the house smell divine!
Citronella Range
We love having friends and family over, and especially when it’s nice enough for us all to get out in the garden and have a bbq. As we spend most of the day and evening outside, I always try to stock up on citronella candles to deter the pesky insects. Having tried the Bolsius range I was really impressed. The tealights have a hint of basil/rosemary and burn great in my outdoor burner. Other fragrances in this range include tomato leaf, basil and lemon.
I’m yet to try the Dutch Flower Fields, so really excited to see what that is like. I’m in candle heaven right now!
