Hello autumn! You have come around so fast this year. If you asked me what my favourite season is then it would probably be autumn/fall, followed closely by spring. I love this time of year. It’s such a busy season with so much to look forward to. Here are just a few reasons why I love autumn so much!

Crisp Air
That feeling you get when you open the door first thing in the morning and breathe in that fresh brisk air. It really motivates me for the day.

Scavenger hunts
We love doing crafts and scavenger hunts are so much fun to search for bits and pieces to use, especially leaves for collages and pinecones to decorate. The kids also get plenty of fresh air and burn off some energy whilst they search away.

Outdoor Fun
I love wrapping up warm and going for a nice autumnal walk or playing over the fields with the boys. The best part of enjoying the outdoors is on our return to the house, where we can snuggle up in blankets, pop on a movie and warm ourselves up with hot chocolate topped with squirty cream and marshmellows!
Colours
I just love the colours that autumn brings. Trees are lit up with shades of reds oranges and golden yellows. Everywhere just looks so stunning.
Autumn Food
Picking the apples and pears from the trees and baking a tasty pie to devour after Sunday lunch, yum!
The slow cooker is used more often cooking away warming dishes like stews and casseroles to be enjoyed around the table on a cold evening.
Pumpkins are carved and the flesh is used to whip up a pumpkin soup or pie! Autumn is awesome for comfort food.
Halloween & Bonfire Night
There is so much to look forward to in autumn and Halloween is one of our favourites. Being a massive horror buff, I could easily go all out on the whole Halloween thing! We do Halloween crafts and make some fun decorations, and of course, the kids eat their body weight in sweet treats.
Bonfire night events start to open and people stand wrapped up warm with cosy hats and scarves, watching the colourful displays in the sky. The smell of hot baked potatoes fill the air and little ones sport sticky faces as they relish a toffee apple.

I love autumn, but then again I love all the seasons. Halloween is a favourite with us as well. I’ve already started my plans. The boys look well set up for autumn in their new outfits. #MMBC

I love the smell of firewood in Fall. There is something about that smell that really cheers me up. I smelled it this morning though even though my apartment building doesn’t have a fireplace in any unit yet there it was and it immediately put me in a great mood and ready to start my day! ? I love autumn its my favourite time of year with the trees changing colour and he cosy jumpers making an appearance. This year though I just wanted the summer to continue spending the evenings outside #mmbc
Loving all your photos and outfits. Must admit I’m not the worlds biggest autumn fan but it definitely has some charm. We’re going to celebrate halloween for the first time this year, so perhaps that will perk up the season for me! #MMBC
