A light up cauldron with green baubles and green pipe-cleaners

Looking for a fun and easy Halloween craft to try with the kids? This DIY Witches Cauldron is a perfect project to add some spooky magic to your home! It’s simple, budget-friendly, and a great way to get creative with the kids as you get into the Halloween spirit.

Here is what you will need

Baubles – I change the colour schemes of my tree to match whatever the room is decorated in, so these lime green baubles were no longer needed.

Cotton Balls

Mini Pom Poms

Green Pipe Cleaners

Googley Eyes

Newspaper

LED Battery Powered Lights

Card/Paper

Glitter

Glue

Plastic Cauldron

First we filled our cauldron with scrunched up newspaper. Doing this just saves you having to fill the whole thing with baubles.

We then placed our LED lights on top and carefully placed our green baubles, making sure to leave little gaps for the lights to shine through.

baubles2The baubles were placed upside down (as you don’t want to see the hanging part) and then we added some green mini pom poms to make it look like a disgusting bubbling broth.

We then stuck some google eyes onto our white cotton balls with PVA glue for our eyeballs.

Then twisted some lengths of pipe cleaner around our finger to create ringlet like shapes to represent the ghastly green smoke rising from the cauldron.

Lastly I designed a label, which you can also do quite easily using Picmonkey, and drew some little pumpkin shapes which we coated with PVA and glitter.

Monkey stuck on the pumpkins and label and I stuck the pom poms flowing down the side with a glue gun.
